tim5055how about some place in NY??????

tlhdoc

tim5055Tim I am glad that things are getting started now.  I hope we have a date picked by October/November.

SheBantam

tim5055I have not been there, Tracy and others  have, Knoebels Park near Bloomsburg PA has 2 campgrounds, they told me that during the summer, Sunday to Friday it is almost empty, not sure if they would give us a better deal, but they might.  I would vote for Lake Glory as it is further from the park and less noisy, and there is transportation to the park from the campgrounds. It is a pay as you go park and durng the week they have arm bands for unlimited riding.

tim5055Paula why is this in the Eastern Rally thread?

The park is only about 45 minutes from our house.  We have been there twice this year.

tim5055My vote is for somewhere in the South/South East.[:)]

According to Mapquest, if we went to KY you would be closer than I am.

It shows me at 13[&:] hours and you at 11[;)]

But, if you have any suggestions, let me know.  I just know that some folks were talking about wanting to go to a more park like setting rather than a commercial campground.

It shows me at 13  hours and you at 11

Tim, if Mapquet is showing you at 13 hours, figure another 2 hours for the decreased speeds in the mountains (unless you have something with more power than the F150). It takes me 14 hours towing on trips that take me 11 1/2 to 12 to do in a car, same distance but only to the north.

This is one trip that Raymond will veto...no water at the site no sewer and too far but too close to the family.  If I am going to drive that far, towing, I would go further north, into Southern Indiana to Lake Rudolf campground and Holiday World. Gotto keep that Jeffrey happy, nothing worse than a spoiled teen hollering that they are bored...hey that is not (all) MY FAULT, his daddy treats him more like a grandchild than a son.

The area down at L-B-L is beautiful and I understand you wanting to go, I do not think that you all would be disappointed. But it is too close to home and the folks would get upset if we did not camp up there, gotta keep the old folks happy...who know, maybe I could talk mom into coming, if I went and picked her up...
