RE: Second camping trip under my belt, I am back !

Second caping trip missinon completed. Successfull ? I guess so.

It was quite something ....... I will give details later on , too tired to type ....

Highlights :

1 ) Rain and more rain and rain, did I say rain ? and more rain ? torrential rain ?

2 ) Flood

3 ) Water, tons of it

4 ) Did I say water in the tent ?

5 ) Water, under the tent, gallons of it .... all around , 6" deep

6 ) Wind, causing horizontal rain, did I mention rain ?

7 ) Flying canopy, did I mention wind ?

8 ) Torn screen, wind lots of wind

9 ) Wet towels and sheets, did I mention rain and water in the tent ?

10 ) Leaking seams, like a tap, rain rain more rain

11 ) Record break down of the tent and re-setting it up in drier site, 15minutes, under rain

12 ) Flies ..... billions of them ........

13 ) Mosquites, I had " off" [

]

14 ) Restrooms [&:]

15 ) Bathhouse [: (]

16 ) Rain ...... did I mention it enough ?

17 ) DD getting a sick stomach ...... in the tent at 2:30 am, did I mention this happened after I had 6 lite beers ? ...... [

18 ) Site on the creek, right next to the water [

]

19 ) Amount of beer and wine consumed, no body could keep track [>:]

20 ) Did we have fun and dying to go again ? YEAH !!!!!!!!!!! [

brainpauseJohn has pictures of that storm ....... It was unbelievable ........... In 15 minutes there was 6" of water all around us !!! It was like all hell broke loose !.

I think Camping Gods wanted to see what me and DD and DS is made of ! We relocated the tent and dried it and camped right on ! Yeah we were tired and all, that didn t stop us !.

We thought about leaving the next day, but after a hefty bacon/sausage/pancake breakfast and mostly sunny skies it was decided that we would stay our full 4 days !!!

And yes we are hooked [

] I can t wait till we go again and we can t afford anything anymore ...... so we will just save money for next year.

CampNfanIt was toreential rain ! Unbelievable !!! It was raining sideways, and tore the canopy partly. I should have known better than leaving like that. One of the canopy poles tore the screen in the tent window.

What is little bit of rain for you campnfan [

] I think we had one of the worst experiences (naturewise) we will ever ever have.

Oh yeah, we also forgot to take any tongs or utensils for the bbq and stuff. So I ended up spending money for those too. Now they stay in their own PU storage box though ! I am learning !

We are soo full of mosquite bites, it is not even remotely funny .......But the rest was ok, even the rain, yeah I know I am weird.[
