Birol s tent in the rain story reminds me of the time long ago when I was but a child....UHmph no age jokes please... we went camping at Inks lake and discovered while setting up the tent that Dad forgot the tent poles. Well since this was BW (before WalMart) we tried tying the top of the tent to a tree to hold it up. It sagged horribly but we were still camping. Then the rain came and ... oh geez!... we were in a swag (low spot) under the tree so our tent filled with water. Can you say " Floating beds?"  Not one of our better trips but... I m still camping after all these years.

Rain in the tent and sleeping on the ground were the two reasons we got the pop up.
 
 I m getting too old not to have a little comfort.[]

Two years ago when I was still tenting it we were camping at the lake and there came a torrential down pour!! No one offered to let me sleep in their campers and the tent only leaked a little. I was still scared of all the lightening. We ended up sleeping in the car that night.
 
 Now I have the cabin, I don t worry about rain. My family however...all their campers are starting to leak and causing water damage. Guess what comes around goes around.
