 Hi Folks,

I have seen a lot of sale this week on camping equipment. It must be that time of year to change over stock.. I have seen the EZ Awning at stores like Wal-mark, Kmart  but fine they are way to Heavy for me to move all the time. They are nice in a fix, like raining outside.. Need it now.. Bottom line is has any one found one under 20 lbs or less no smaller than 10X10?[:)]

whitestar505I think you might be out of luck on that one.  Our old one was 10x10 with a 9.5x9.5 awning and that weighed in around 35 lbs.  After a torrential rain storm broke that one, I didn t want a heavier one, but my husband talked me into the one we have now.   The bag comes with wheels so it s a little easier to move around.  The one we have now is a true 10x10 since the legs come down practically straight.  It seems so much bigger than our first one and it s DEFINITELY stronger.

Here s a link for our first one which I liked, but weighs 36 lbs: http://www.ezupdirect.com/instant_shelters/dome2.htm

Here s a link for the one we have now(we got in on sale for $150):  http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=532012&cp=713364.714752.712492&clickid=body_bestsellgcat_txt&parentPage=family

I ve never seen this one in person, but it says it s quick and weighs 21 lbs: http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1270693&cp=713364.714752&clickid=body_bestsell_txt

Let us know if you find anything good.

 campingboaterscampingboaters,

With the rig that you have you must have more space to store it when traveling. Seems to be quite large to bring camping.

whitestar505As far as the EsayUp style; no. There s just to much metal in it for the folding apperatus. Less than 20 pounds you re looking at the dining fly type with just the poles, stakes and anchor ropes.

 mike4947mike4947,

Maybe there is something that is just as EZ to put up. We have two canopies that take about 45 to 50 mins to put up. Beside being a pain in the neck...[: (]

 whitestar505Whitestar505,
We have plenty of room between the sofa and dinette in our rig for the canopy we have now.  It s only slightly larger than the original ez-up we had.  When we had the pop-up (Coleman Santa Fe) and the original ez-up canopy, we traveled with it length-wise next to the cabinets on the floor.  It took up some room, but was worth it to have with us.

Maybe the third canopy I listed is an option.  I just don t know how it goes up.  Maybe someone else here has seen it up close.
