RE: Hidden Valley Campground, Marion, NC

Just returned from a great camping trip at Hidden Valley Campground & waterpark.  We went with a church group that was made up of both tent campers and RV ers.  We stayed for three days & two nights.
 
 The pool was very nice.  It was large & had a lifeguard.  They also had a nice children s wadding pool.  
 
 They also have a waterslide which was very nice.  It was a big hit with both the children & parents.
 
 They have a large pond that we caught several bream from.  With all the rain we have had this year, the pond water was cloudy with mud hurting the fishing for other fish.
 
 They have a very nice swing set that did not have a singe muddy spot.  Good drainage & well maintained.
 
 The put-put was nice & well cared for.
 
 The arcade was ok, most of the games were pretty old.
 
 The camp store was well stocked with a good snack bar.
 
 The bath houses were a little dissapointing.  They were very hot during the day and the showers had just an on/off valve with temps that varried alot.  We were ok with them, but not nearly as well kept as the rest of the park.
 
 Overall, we liked this campground & will be going back.[]
