RE: How sad (and exciting too)

Well, the buyer for our 67 Skamper will be here tomorrow to pick up my baby.  I really hope he treats her well.  She got us through a couple seasons without a hitch! (figuratively)  We treated her well and she treated us well, but now it s time to move on...
 
 Next weekend we head out to Coral Springs Fl to pick up our new-to-us camper, an 84 Starcraft!  We got a great deal on her! (Funny, the seller refered to her as a " her"  and she doesn t even camp.  She s selling for her aging father.)
 
 It s so exciting!  I m sad to leave behind my old baby, but I am excited to see what the new camper has to offer.  Mostly, I am excited that this new camper has an actual LIFT SYSYTEM!!!  No more aching back for me!  And this means I will be able to take the kids camping on my own!  Can t do that with the old girl!  Another great plus is the new camper has a king bunk, which means DH and I will finally get to sleep together in the camper!  All along he has been sleeping on the dinette while I sleep on the pull out couch with the girls on the bunk ends.  The bunk were just full sized and DH is 6 5"  tall!
 
 Another exciting thing is that we decided to make a trip out of picking up the camper.  It s just over 5 hours away from us.  This will be our first camping trip of the YEAR!  How pitiful is that?!?!
 
 I tried so hard to find a SP that had openenings but you can all guess how that went, with next weekend being Labor Day and all.  Well, after searching a bit I did find a CG not too far away from coral springs.  Its Called Camping Resort of the Palm Beaches, in Lake Worth, FL.  Anyone heard of it?  Sounds like the basic resort type place.  Heated pool (not that we need heated here now!!!  It s been steamy!), Tiki bar, full hook-ups, etc.  Got a great price!  $48 for 2 nights on a holiday weekend!!!  We ll see if it s a bargain or not.
 
 Well, off to bed to await the am when my baby leaves home. (sob)[]

It is sad when your old trailer leaves you, but the new camper sounds very nice.  Have fun on your trip next week.
