RE: What s up with this board?

This is by far my favorite site.  I check here every day.  I want this site to be succesful, so I will try to do my part by sharing more.  I admit that I mostly read & do not post, but  if we all try to add to the site, it will make it more interesting.  
 
 I really hope that this site will do well.  I would miss it if it was no longer available.

I believe many would admit that there was a time when, if you didn t check this board at least twice a day, there was no way your were going to keep up.  It was not uncommen to come back after 12 hours and have 2-2 1/2 pages of posting under " Generel" .  During the summer things may " slow down"  to 1-2 pages but you were still hard pressed to keep up.  Would love to see those days come back but have no real idea how to get there.  Oh well!  Guess I ll just keep popping in here a couple times a day to get my " fix" .

 I don t believe it is because it s a seasonal thing. This was cited by some last time this was brought up. It was winter then and some said when we all started camping it would pick up. Well, we are camping and things have not changed.
 

I am sorry but I agree with marcy on this []. Maybe we should take this somewhere it can be only seen by paying members ?

By guests I meant, people who are using their 10 day trial memberships. That is sometimes why I hate English. Just can t get the idea across properly sometimes. Happens rarely, but when it happens it drives me nuts. [][:@]

Guess I miss the old fire and spirit that use to be on the board.  Maybe Jeffery and Nightowl need to have a conversation.[]
 
 I also miss the chat but it was getting too frustrating to use.  We were getting bounced more than we were chatting.  I have checked it a few times and see very few people using it.  At one time, there was almost someone on everytime you logged on.  One night we had about 26 people on.
 
 The willingness to help each other is still on the board but I do think some of the comaderie is missing.
 
 It also appears that many of the old timers are either not posting or not posting as often.
 
 Maybe the board will bounce back to what it once was.  I hope so.

Part of the problem I have with the chat is being able to get on when others can.  
 
 For me it is easier to check periodically and " fluff"  with others as I have time.
 
 Mostly I can only get on during the day at work and just for a few short minutes here and there.  It s my way of getting to know people and just checking in.
 
 Sorry for the " fluff"  that I do, but I have gotten to know people better and really hope to camp with them.

 I love the " fluff"  too....I ve learned so much from the good popup information everyone has, but the fluff seems to make it all so much more enjoyable and friendly!  
 
 I check here several times a day too...but for all of last Thursday and then again yesterday I couldn t log in...or if it would let me, I couldn t read anything again.  Not sure about the time in between because we were camping.

I dont know but look at the poor activity in the campground reviews sections. Many areas have not had a new message in months.
