Looks like rain but that s never stopped us before, headed to our favorite Keys campground. Long Key State Park, sites are right on the ocean our site #52 is also our favorite site it s shaded with Austrailian Pines and has a beautiful coconut palm on the beach in front of the site. Tonight I ll be fishing from my site in front of our campfire sipping my favorite drink, eating Argentinian sausage cooked crisp on the fire looking at a billion stars I will spend the weekend in my bathing suit a tank top and a pair of old Sperry topsiders, I ll swim and snorkel with the family and just hang out in my hammock leaving all the stress and worries [&:] of everyday life and business behind, I think I would dream something like this so I feel so lucky that I ll be actually doing it. Believe me I really need this trip I can t wait to shut off the cell phone and leave. Hope everyone has a great weekend camping or not.

 PapasoSTOP -- STOP

You are upsetting me -- glad you can go.  Wish we had a fantastic place like that close by.

There was a site at Indian Lake that is close to what you are describing.  It is right on the end of a loop where a cannel and the lake meet.  At night you look over the lake with the moon shining on the water, it is breathtaking.

Have a great trip camping - a little rain has not stopped most of us campers on this board.

PapasoJust look out for that little tropical storm that is heading your way!  Last I heard on the news this morning it will bring 10 to 15 inches of rain to Florida.  Good luck and don t blow away!

PapasoWow...that sounds terrific!  We re headed to the Shenandoah mountains for another weekend of camping. One of those last minute decisions last night after hearing the weekend forcast for beautiful, cooler, less humid weather.    Yea!!!  We just got back on Tuesday night from a 5 day trip but hey....decent weekends without rain in our forcast are such a rariety lately that you just can t let them slide by.  I have just resigned myself to the fact that my house and laundry may never get caught up until it is just simply too cold and icy to camp.  [;)]  But heck...if I m  not home I won t see it anyway right????

PreacherI m keeping my eye on the weather, looks like the storm is going to spare the Keys, so a little rain won t hurt. Yup just a few more hours by six, six thirty we should be all setup. Hopefully

PapasoHey have a great trip.  We are going camping too.  It looks like it will be nice and dry here for a change.  I think this will be the first trip this year that we didn t get rained on.  I will be meeting a few other campers and enjoying their company.
