RE: Review of RB Winter SP, Pa

RB Winter SP in central PA has a small campground.  There are only 60 campsites and about 1/3 have electric.  They have a new modern shower house with a family access bathroom.  I find it great for sending the boys in to shower, so I don t have to worry about them.  There is also an outhouse with sinks outside to brush your teeth and wash your hands.  There is a small stream that runs through the lower side of the campground and it adds a nice background noise to the campsites along it.  Most of the campsites are very shaded, but there are a few that are more open.  There is a lake for fishing and swimming (very cold) and a great nature center.  There are also several hiking trails.  This park is close to my home and I love being able to go there for quick camping fix.

I agree, Tracy, that this is a nice park.   We have never camped there, however, primarily because this park is not part of the " pets in parks"  program, and thus we cannot bring our dogs to the campground.  Maybe someday..  This park is close to us also and we like to go there to hike and picnic.

 i like blue knob...its a nice little gem of a park and far away from traffic and noise!
