Does anyone know anything about the little plug in devices designed to repel bugs/rodents?   I picked one up at WallyWorld for about $4 and just wondered if the " ultrasonic"  waves really do anything.  It has an extra outlet and a nightlight so I guess if I wasted my $ it will still serve that purpose.  We actually haven t had a problem with any insects in our camper but I am terribly afraid of spiders (not good when you love to camp) so I will do what I can to keep em out!  I know all of the other methods...sealing holes, etc., just wondered about these.

PopUpTrioAlthough we used them in the house they did not keep out the bugs. But now you have a nightlite.

We have used the small battery powered ones from wally world and they seem to work ok enough to go back and get some more anyway worked great at the beach !!

Gone-Camping

PopUpTrioSomehow I doubt they are effective. I asked the guy that sprays our shop for bugs and rodents about these things (as to their effectiveness against mice & rats, not bugs) and though he carried them on the truck, he said they were basically worthless. He gave me one free of charge, so I plugged in and waited for the dog to start howling....but even the dog didn t notice the thing!

PopUpTrioSupposedly they are not noticed by larger animals, dogs, cats, etc.  The warning says not to use them if you have hamsters, ferrets, or similar pets.   Guess it s not hurting anything to leave it in there for awhile.

PopUpTrioI bought a set a few years ago.  We still get mice in the house.  I wish they would work, I hate seeing rodents in the house or PU.

PopUpTrioIf you get one of these to keep out the mice, you need to get the ones that work through the wiring in your walls.  The other ones will only work on what it is front of the unit.  The ones that work with the wiring go through your walls so it keeps them out of cabinets, etc.  I have used one for a couple of months now at my seasonal site and have not seen any yet.  Tonight will be the test because I haven t been to the trailer in a couple of weeks, so this should be a good test.  I also had my husband seal up all the holes under the trailer and sure hope that we got them all.  Good luck with your unit.
