RE: Moving on up!

well we did it, We are now in the TT family.
 We bought a 2001 26H TT by Mallard and it looks new inside.[]
 We have looked and looked for the last 4-6 months but really the last 1-1/2year. But the last 4-6 months hard. we looked new and thought we were going this road. Then I just got tired of the sticker shock.. And with RVing have a great year, no one really wanted to deal.. Pretty much a little here and there. Unless I drove to OHIO (RVWholesalers) I wouldn t get to good a deal. So the last month we have looked used. Saw some good buys and some dogs[: (]. But last Saturday we took a chance and drove 80 miles for our house to visit Raleigh, NC dealer lots. Found what we were looking for. Asked the price and was told the price is marked. We told him we were just looking and we had a popup and did not have to buy just thought they might deal. He said that was the lowest they could go! So Lets just look and see what else they have. Finally after talking to the boss lady we made an offer. He said OK..
 Now I needed a WD hitch.. That was extra!! No it comes with the deal, you have 3 used campers on the lot that have WD hitches with them and I wanted one too. But they are used and come with that camper! ...........SO!
 I would have paid for the hitch if I would had too. But got one new in the deal? So now we pick it up Saturday at 1pm.. I have never towed anything longer than 16ft flat trailer and the popup which 15  long.. So I am a little afraid about it but all my buddies tell me it is nothing and I have the truck to tow it with.. SO I will go slow at first and see what I can do.[8D].
 I will be here until next year and I will see ya around on other boards I hope!
 Dave thanks[] for all the info I have learned here and over 3 years ago when I first found PUT, Lots of what I have learned, can carry over to my new home on wheels.
 So I will keep check on things here every now & then and I am glad to the see the board up and running again..

Good luck with the new TT, we would like to also " move up"  one day...
 I am tired of popping up and down in the rain and not having a place to store items, plus I like the idea of being able to pull off the road if need be and use the bathroom, cooking, and fridge.....
