birolI guess you and I are talking about two very distinctly different things.

birolNot trying to beat a dead horse, but logged in over at PUX   and noticing that they seem to have a lot of activity going I thought it would be interesting, just by way of comparison, to count the number of new posts/replies dated 10/8/03 showing of the various forums.  Here s what I found:

 General.................38
 Chillin...................11
 Hybrids, etc........... 3
 Fix-it.................... 7

 Total PUX............ 59

Then counted the same forums on PUT:

 General.................11
 Campfire...............13
 Hybrids................. 0
 Fix-it.................... 3

 Total PUT.............27

Seems there is, indeed, more going on over there than here - at least in the General, Fix-it, and Hybrid forums which are really about camping.  PUT does have PUX beat, however, in the Campfire forum which is about other than camping stuff.

 A sign of the times?

birolOK my 2 cents is, people are currently commenting that some of our forums are not active and maybe to just cancel them, while other are comaring the number of forums -- does it really matter???

Also, I personally don t frequent PUX or any of the others very much, but when I have, I have noticed that there are " fluff"  posts there as well.  The only true way to easily compare them is for the website managers to go in and " delete"  all " fluff"  or non-camping posts (which none will do).

I have enjoyed all the posts whether being camping or non-camping.  I have gotten to know people pretty well and am hoping on meeting many of them one day.  If it weren t for some of the non-camping subjects people wouldn t be helping one another.

Let s see -- people helped birol with his BP, I have had some personal emails showing support for me and boosting my mental state when I need it, I offered my services to Destiny s family here in Cincinnati if they needed it, and many prayers have been given for families when they have needed it most.

Many things may not have happened if it weren t for this board.

wiininkweBirol, don t regret this thread, it gave a lot of us an opportunity to see how others felt, and to say how we felt.  That s the whole purpose of being able to share on this forum.   You are a great asset to this board, don t ever restrict yourself from posting what you feel is important, or even as a joke.

 wiininkweBirol,
Somebody has to turn up the heat, or it will happen, if something doesn t change.

I know you already know the real answer, you posted the same question in 2 places. Here " 0"  replies, over there you already have a bunch of replies in just the first hour.
