 wiininkweHey sis,

We just got back from " up north"  too LOL!

We closed the popup for the season today. While sitting under the sky without an awning or AAR, we noticed the same things as you. Some of the trees were still green at their tips, but colored leaves below were fluttering to the ground. And, our sky was deep blue with billowing pure white clouds. Looked like someone had painted them on a giant canvas.

Squirrels & chipmunks were scurring all around us with acorns in their mouths. (Don t know where they found them all since next year is the big acorn season again.) Deer were foraging near the stream where we camp and I thought I saw a cute black & white kitty (lol) on its far side. The stream water wasn t running as fast as it had over the past few months, but the crisp sound of its breaking over the big boulders in front of our site just highlighted the fact that the season has changed.

We met our " next year nieighbors"  before leaving & found out that on the husbands side, 2 brothers, father, uncle, aunt and cousin all have sites in the campground. Shared a pot of hot dogs & sauerkraut and a bunch of stories before leaving. Our new trailer is beling delivered in two weeks & we ll spend one night in it before ending our 2003 trailer camping season. We ll be in shelters and cabins for the next 6 months but longing for the popup & new trailer.

Hope your knee is feeling better. Keep up the therapy & you ll soon be hiking again.

wiininkweWow...gorgeous pictures Toni!   The leaves are just beginning to change around here.  I love this time of year. Glad you felt good enough to get out there and not miss the beautiful weather!
