We checked a vintage PU on Friday ....a friend from PUX directed us to it. DW looked at said, this is horrible, Lee's were so nice looking and white and well taken care of, I don't want this one. (She was also drooling over the pics). Yeah, it was a 70's starcraft, tent very dirt, rusty, tent torn, and so on.. we rang the bell of the house, but nobody answered.


The quest continues ......... One day ! For the time being, I am buying a can of water repelleant for MOAT !!!!

Sorry it wasn't a good one. :(   You will find the right PU at the right price one of these days.  Keep looking and don't give up. :)

PS when do you move???

Why didn't you buy Lee's?

He couldn't import it, because Lee altered the frame. :(

There was a high probability that it would fail the federal inspection because of the modifications done to the hitch, as they would ask the manufacturer to certify that the modification was acceptable, did not increase the risk of failure etc etc. The cost to get it certified lite that would be too steep, and I would have to spend a lot of non-refundable funds to start the inspection process. The risk of failure versus money we could potentially loose made me reluctantly back out, thanks to Lee and NAdrea for their understanding. I still feel awful.
