Well, we got our camper back today, it was with the service guys at American RV to get a new converter installed.    You may remember that earlier this month DH, DS and another friend went up north Bow hunting and the converter was shot so the furnace wasn't working.   The old one was a Magnetek, we just had an Elixer with battery charging capabilities put in.  Hopefull, when Deer gun season opens next month, this one does what it's suppose to.

Hey sis,

Sorry to hear Rick couldn't get the old one going & you had to buy a new one. :(

Our "new to us" trailer was delivered today. No electric or water at the campground, and the trailer had been winterized, but we thought we'd just have a quiet afternoon enjoying being in it.

When the dealer detached it from his truck, there was no electric inside even though we had a fully charged battery attached. We spent over an hour pulling on wires until we found a wood cover under the sofa/bed (which only lifted up about 10"). Removed the wood cover and there was a 20 and 30 amp fuse neither of which was listed in the manual. The 30amp was popped, so I replaced it with a penny. (Only kidding. I put in a 15amp temporarily and bought some 30amp ones tonight).

I was glad to have the 25,000 BTU furnace going, with all that R9 insulation around me, even though the temp was in the low 60's. I can feel for Rick when the furnace didn't come on when it was really cold.

Rose, the campground manager, stopped by to see the trailer and to tell me that a momma bear with 4 (FOUR) babies had visited her yesterday. That's the first time in years that any have entered the campground area. Well, after 30 years of not doing it, hunting season for bears in NJ is almost here! ;)

C ya!
