Hello everyone,

Well,.... Mrs. Hoppy and I finally did it!

After many years of trying to decide weather or not to retire the old / dependable 1978 Palimino, we did it.

Bought a used 2001 Mesa from a guy in Alabama.

This puppy has just about everything I was looking for:

15 K air conditioner.  (a must for the south)
16 K  Hot water heater. ( Mrs Hoppy said this was a must)
18 K  Forced air furnace with thermostat.
    3 way fridge
    Outside shower.
Fold down galley / with bay window.
    Sleeps 8  (or 20 drunks)
    Inside and outside stoves.
    23 cf front storage area
    Awning
And every option that was available back then.
(camper cadddie, vanity, bed sheets / pillow cases, cutting board, etc...)

We have taken it out twice, and can't believe how quickly and easy the new ones set-up / down versus the old one.

As for the 78 Palomino....... didn't have the heart to part with it....... gave it to the daughter and son-in-law as a gift, so we can have the whole family camp with us next summer.

   Keep your kindling dry,

    Hoppy

Hoppy, congratulations on the new to you Mesa.  We have a 2001 Westlake and just love it.  I hope you and your family have many happy trips.

Congratulations on the new PU!  I hope you enjoy it for many years.  Giving it away, what a great gift for your DD and her family. :)

That was a nice gesture to give your old popup to family so they can enjoy camping.

Good luck with the Mesa.

We had (until yesterday when we bought a hybrid) a 98 Mesa and really liked it.

The layout is really nice and comfortable.
