Maybe if birol can get a deal on a PU, maybe we could tag team it north for him.  You never know, someone may be wanting to get rid of one.  On the old board, several times people referenced being given an "old" PU - FREE.  That sounds in his price range and with that price, it should be over 15 years old,

Yup!   I was one of those that got one free!!!


I'm in FL  I can pick up and deliver up to 3 miles (OOPS!!!   I mean 3 hours!!  That would be funny if I only offered to drive 3 miles!!!)north for someone to pick up a leg from there.  I do remember seeing a dirt cheap little pup on ebay today for around a couple hundred.  Seemed in good shape, just needed a little house keeping

It's ok.... I threw you for a loop.  My original camper, the 67 Skamper, was free.  I just sold that and bought an absolutely mint 84 Starcraft for $500!!!  I consider the Starcraft deal a better bargain than the free Skamper!

That is a good deal !!!!!!! SOmething like that, they tell me, I can just register (provided it has a title and stuff). No stupid import process !

In the classifieds, post a "WANTED" ad and see what happens.  Also go to PUX and place one there, you never know.  The only thing it'll cost is your time to post the ad.

Guess it shows the difference in the boards -- we're FRUGAL around here and we get all the bargains.  I'm keeping an eye out for you... it has to be a 1988 or older or can we say 1989 as the 2004's are out.

Hey, I don't mind frugal, as long as it is clean, in good shape. I appreciate the info about the one on ebay you sent me. My wife would kill me if I tried to buy something like that and repaired it. She won't let me into the house, it has got to be clean, is her ultimatum on this subject .....

Time to get in the ol' Windstar and make a road trip to all the dealers in your area. Now is one of the prime times to buy campers, as a lot of people don't want the hassle of winterizing and storing their rigs.

 
Also, you may run across a private owner selling for the same reasons.:cool:
