Four season camping here on the Central California Coast.I believe that we have camped in each of the 12 months. This is not saying that we dont sometimes get bad weather.Lots of rain November-March.

I voted for 10, but it totally depends on the weather. In all my thinking back over the many years I've been camping, I think the only months I've never camped in is December and January. December is always just too busy and it's never been nice enough in January...but I'd sure go if it was!  :>

We plan camping trips March through November. December just has to many other things happening. We have managed to go in January or February, but they are mostly unplanned trips if the weather permits.

While we don't always get to camp every month, no month is off limits due to weather.  The weather is never too cold in FL, but we've also camped in snow at Mt.Rushmore.  We've even camped during a tropical storm here with 3 days of driving rain.  We always have fun even if the weather is bad.

Going again in a few weeks.   :D

Lousy northern weather curtails being able to camp EVERY weekend. But we do our share, about 10 months a year, in tent, popup and shelters.

OC Campers

We are able to camp all year round here in Southern California.  Unfortunately, it is very hard to camp in the summer because of crowds.  If you don't book your spot 6 months in advance you won't get one.

we try for seven months, april to october, if the weather and our schedule permits! and we go three out of four weekends during that time

We camp 10 months of the year....we don't camp in the summer for the reasons OCCamper stated.  Too crowded, especially since we experience the campgrounds in the "off season".

It's not the camping that's difficult in the winter here, but most of the campgrounds (USFS mostly) close in Oct. (Can you say LOCKED campground toilets??)  Also, if you CAN get your camper into a site, you have to worry about being caught there if the weather turns bad.  I knew a guy once who had to leave his truck up on a FS road (dirt, very unimproved) all winter when he got it stuck in the snow on an adventursome day.... he had to walk out and leave the truck.  We lived in a pretty small county in northern MT at the time (3000 people) and he never heard the end of it!

Anyway, camping works best here from May - Sept, or Oct if you are lucky.

We are fortunate to be able to camp here, in south Texas, year round. We like to camp in the winter months better than the summer due to the high heat and humidity. You know the old saying," It ain' t the heat it's the humidity!", well it's both actually!
Winter is nice when you do not have to run the A/C.  :)

Because we are lucky enough (in our opinion) to be Hosts at a Maryland State Park we are able to set up a weekend or 2 before the opening of the camping area and stay a weekend or 2 after the close of the season.  After we get our camper up we help the Park winterize or de-winterize the bath houses.  We get the campsites ready for all of you, and anxiously await your arrival (or think about the long cold winter).  So we get to spend the WHOLE camping season

CAMPING  :D  EVERY WEEKEND!!!

I voted seven but if November is nice we can eight.  On the other hand, april is pushing it sometimes so...between six and eight :p

I accidentaily hit 1 month, what was I thinking, 3 months is all we can do here ...
