...when I saw the following headline at CNN.com:

"FTC accuses pop-up maker of 'extortion'"

See the article below:

Yes, just about what I expected.  And, guess what?  You guessed it, there was a popup while reading the site.

I thought Coleman and Fleetwood had fought enough that the FTC was stepping in, calling someone "extortionists." Then I thought, "Wow, that is bad for the RV industry." Then I read the article. :)

I read it in the newspaper, and it was a good reading. When I first saw your heading, I also thought, woow, this gotta be areal big ! Then I remembered the article, and read your post. Quite the nerve these people had. First exploiting the messenger(Not MSN messenger)  service  abd then trying to sell a product to prevent it from happening. It reeks of a shoddy car reparimen's practice ! Just a tecchie version, doesn't make it any better ...

BTW, I use a dandy free version of popupstopper.com at home and at work. It works great!

Some people use Mozilla as their browser and simply set it to block popups.  That's another alternative that the geeks are promoting at seminars I have attended.  I think you just go to mozilla.com to get your free download.

Mozilla, Hmm, I sort of remember it ..... It was old and antiquated .... Does it still work ? (Just kidding).
