WOW what a storm!!!

Well it's been blowing and snowing here in the Boston area for hours now and the snow is piling and piling up!!!!!

Hubby broke out that new snowblower and had a great time!!  As predicted he made the rounds of neighbors driveways also!!  As we already have about a foot of snow now, the neighbors were definitely happy!!

We got the house all decorated for Christmas, stockings hung up, lights glowing around the house and our tree up and decorated.  This is our first year of having an "aritificial tree" but it's so beautiful and looks so real you'd be hard pressed to not know its not real.  The only thing missing is that beautiful pine smell, but a fresh cut tree is to overwhelming and really kicks in the allergies for my son, making him miserable, so I got a little pine spray and that made it more familiar for the kids as they decorated the tree.  But even they remarked the tree looked awesome!!

Whoever else is in this storm hope you're all snuggled up with family and friends and enjoying it safely.  Who knows maybe DH will be bye your driveway too with his trusty new snowblower!!

We had the snow yesterday finishing up by noon today and the snow fall total is 9" in Elkton, MD.  I have posted pictures on Webshots.

They were calling for 6 to 12 inches (maybe even 18 inches) and all we got was the 6.  It didn't upset me at all.  With the help of 2 kids we had shoveled/pushed the snow off of all 3 driveways we take care of.  I didn't get our snow blower out. :XMas

well it's morning and we've got at the very least....2 feet of snow!!  Kids and DH are bundling up as I write to go out into the wintery weather!!  Snowbanks are going to be huge for sure!!  Looks like the sun is trying to come out though!  It's been awhile since we've gotten so much snow so early.  It's pretty enough, but I miss CA weather!!

We got about 8 inches here in Staunton, Va. and schools were early dismissal-ed Thursday and totally closed on Friday -- yahoo!  It's gorgeous outside today, bright blue skies and maybe 40 degrees.  DD and I have been out sledding in our back yard and we're getting ready to put up the tree.

We're originally from Michigan and WE LOVE SNOW!

My brother emailed me this moring, says he can't open his front door, apparently they got somewhere to the tune of 30" in his town (So Hamilton Mass)...

Wow, I was thinking about everyone on the east coast this weekend. I have a friend in VA, just outside DC. I'll be calling him later this am to see how he faired, did get to see some of the Bengals/Baltimore game, but from the little I did see, didn't seem like there was much there.

We're in VA just south of DC...we only got about 4-5 inches...but it was enough that I could stay home, connect my laptop through VPN into the office and work from home in my sweats and slippers! LOL It was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I got some holiday baking done too....9 different kinds of cookies.
