Just bring an air tank (a $20 11 gallon will do), and charge it with propane. That way, when you "air" up your tires, you are recharging with propane. :D

Quote from: 2manytoyzRiddle me this Batman, why can you legally get a black cover for a propane tank, but the law says the tank must be painted a light color?

      Eh?

You know, I'm not the only one who's nutz.   Think the people making the covers are a little touched too.  ;)

Your not the only one. :p   Here is the question I asked earlier in the thread.

"Why are the soft vinyl tank covers dark colors? Most are black, and dark colors absorb heat and why would you want your tank sitting in the driveway to absorb heat?"

I live in 29 Palms, CA.  Summer temps are routinely in the 110's.  I decided that my white propane tank didn't need a black cover and stored it in my garage ( and here I thought high school chemistry was useless!).  (It was also a PITA to take off to get to the valve.)  At some point somebody on another group wanted one to replace one they had lost and I sold it to them for a little more than it cost me to mail it.  If you really want a second cover maybe some other desert dweller has one in their garage.  Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see one on the side of the highway........!
