Thanks Jaqui, for organizing this.

P.S., we're in for the pot lucks, we haven't quite figured out what we'll be bringing. Holly's thinking about a Chineese Chicken Salad, not sure about what to bring for the breakfast...

We're kind of the late planner type of folks....and we're in the middle of planning for a father daughter dance, pinewood derby, etc....

We're looking forward to this little bit of a get away.

Gee that sounds like princesses/guides got ya busy too.. I'm still debating on the food too I'll probably figure it out while shopping on Thurs

Wow we will have quite a turn out YIPPPEEEEEE! ( the big camfire is why, I know it is  ;)  :J )  (oh and the beer)

IS IT FRIDAY YET?..

OC Campers

I agree Deidre--  Is it Friday???  I am so ready to go.  I am trying to figure out a way to go earlier on Friday but haven't been too successful.  I told Matt that we were going camping in our popup with Griffy and he said "is my popup next to Giffins popup so I can walk there?"

Don't worry about food choices, all I know is donuts for Saturday morning.  Still trying to figure out Saturday night.

Well ladies, I am once again home with a sick child--our old friends bronchitis and pneumonia are visiting again.  We're on amoxcyllin and albuterol, which would be great if Griffin weren't so impossible to give medicine to--he refuses to take it so I have to struggle and fight him to get it down him and then his gag reflex is soooo sensitive that he immediaitely barfs it up.  If by some miracle I am able to get some down him, my poor baby coughs so much that the coughing makes him bring up whatever may have been in there. :(

I'm going on two nights now where he's woken up crying every 30 minutes (one of those nights was Saturday when we were camping--ugh!)  We saw the doctor this morning and go back again Thursday, so hopefully, we'll still be there this weekend.  I could do for a rest!!!  We're still planning on it at this point, especially since it's only Monday.  We'll do sausage for breakfast and Kamper's stroganoff for dinner on Saturday. :)

OC Campers

Gosh Lori, it appears someone doesn't want you guys to go camping.  I hope Griffy gets better.  Mattie will miss him if you guys can't make it.:(

No kidding!  I'll know more after we go to the doctor on Thursday.  Dave wants me to call about Canyon's refund policy, but I'm not willing to throw in the towel yet!

If we do end up canceling the camping part, maybe we can still come for the potluck.

I don't know what their cancellation policy is but for some reason, I am thinking they don't give refunds.  Maybe if you show a doctor's note, they will consider it.

We would love to see you at the potluck if that is the only way,:(

Boy...not again!!!
Kara used to "gag" too (she just barfed at the dentist on the floride) If griffy keeps barfing the albuterol ask the Doc. for an inhaler (and chamber) We had to do this with Kara as Albuterol made her possessed with a demon and the inhaler has less side effects and doesn't taste bad either
another suggestion is take it to Sav-on and pay the $3 to have it flavored. they have 42 flavors and they are sweeter like snow cone syrup. anoter thing that helped Kara with the cough was Eucalyptus oil in the humidifier water and I would spray some on her pillow (must be in METAL or GLASS bottle) try Mothers Market in Irvine.

Good Luck I hope we get to see you

Only one more day, YIPPEE!!!  We probably won't leave home till 4 ish.  Kids don't get out of school till 3pm.  By the time Randy gets home from work and we hookup the popup ya never know what time it will be.

I will probably stop at Wally World and pickup up some wood too.  They usually have pretty good wood at reasonable prices.  Last year a bundle of wood (5 or six logs) was $2 if I remember right.

Looks like they have called off the rain for this weekend, so party on!!! Not that rain has ever slowed down an SCC rally. I'll drink a Marga-G-ta this weekend and think of you all singing Kumbaya by the fire. :D Ya'll have a great time!!!

We're back from the doctor's for Griffn's re-check.  She didn't hear any crackling or wheezing in Griff's lungs and gave us a thumb's up for camping.  Of course, Dave and I have both come down with it now and feel lousy, but we're still going to try and make it.  We'll just take it easy.  Yeah right, with a 3 y/o on the mend...

Dave has a court appearance in the morning and plans on picking up the camper from storage afterwards.  We'll probably hit the road early afternoon.  See everyone tomorrow!

YIPEEEE!!

You guys can still go!..I'm glad griffy is getting better.
I'm planning on leaving by 11:30 (which means 12:30). I'm not getting the kids until 3PM. I hoping to bring a six ft table (maybe 2) for the Potluck, since I won't have the kids I have a little more room.

The latest weather at 4 pm said Possible rain Sat  afternoon but not everyone and not much.. without Moose I don't think I can pull off the "rain go away" chant before the potluck  ;)

as far as potluck I'm set. Sat breakfast - breakfast burritos and hashbrowns
Sat dinner - Spaghetti & meatballs

well see ya all tomorrow, I will not be online again..I have to go pack :W

jstubbert

We ahve had a change of plans... We won't be out until around 9am Saturday morning... I can't get out of the office until after 5:00 so we will just wait and go out saturday morning...

OC Campers

Alright, everything seems to be a go.  Jeff and gina, we will watch over your site so nobody takes it.   Lori and Dave glad you can make it.  Matt will keep Griff busy, they can hug and bang each other over the head:D .  It looks like we probably won't get out of here till 5-6pm. Bummer.  Randy has end of the month billing and can't escape early.

Lori if we take the 241 toll road, do we want 91 East or West?  I know the park is right where the toll road hits the 91 but I can't remember if going East will put me past Gypsum Canyon.  I figured the toll toad probably is a good idea at 6pm on a Friday nite.

I lied, I had to log on one more time  ;)

Take the 91 WEST east you'll have to go to Corona (and that can take hours)
There isn't a Gypsum cyn off ramp.
91 WEST an exit the next exit which is Weir Cyn go right to your 1st signal which is LaPalma go Right. stay in right hand lane and stay to the right of the cones (they appear about 2 mi. down) this Forces you to turn right on Gypsum, entrance is just over the bridge.
Lori I don't know if you normally turn left when you exit Weir and go down Santa Ana cyn, but don't, being only one lane and Fri, Dan says its been backed up to Weir. you will have some traffic from freeway to LaPalma but should be better once on LaPalma. Also Dan warns on the toll road 2 lanes go east, 2 go west, if in the right west bound lane BEWARE of cars STOPPED as they fly down and stop to cut in line going to corona.

guess what???

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!

and I'm going camping in less than 12 hours!!!   :D
