The weather should be fine at that time of year around here.  It may be a little wet and cool, but there should not be any snow or ice.  I have lived here for 12 years now, and all snow and ice are melted by the first of April, my DH and I always place bets on when the last of the snow is gone.  The end of April is usually very pleasent, altho it might be a bit wet.

Beckies right.  Spring should be getting a foothold by then.  Looks like average HI is about 66 and average low 42.  Not full fledged Spring but well on it's way.  That is warmer than I recollect Hickory Run 2001,  the last COTCO gathering I was at.  Precp. for mo is average 4".  Of course that is pretty unpredictable.

Actually sounds pretty good considering the sub-freezing weather we have been in and the snow currently whipping around outside.  As a matter of fact it sounds really good !!!!:)

Sorry about that, right weekend anyways, was not trying to override anyone one about the dates but thought they were in place already. Besides, with the weather the way it has been this winter we might want to re-think the dates. As for the info on Dee, wrong thread. Bad Day!

That is OK.  I didn't know if you had talked to Dee and she was planning on going now. :)

HersheyGirl,

I am good to go no matter what! Of course we are up to our knees with snow and ice now and the temp is only 20 degrees. Lots of time yet right! :D

Just to keep everyone updated I have not received the packet from the CG yet.  Still waiting to make reservations. :(

MTNDAVE

Tracy,

I too have not received the requested packet from the CG. I think I'll drop the an e-mail tonight and see if I get a response.

It's still early and what with the cold and snow maybe they are in slow motion.

>>>>> UPDATE - I sent them an e-mail and hope to get a response in a day or two or three maybe.  We shall see.  Maybe they just forgot my first request.

Adam,

OK with us too.....Just don't let them near the Mrs. and try to convert her.  She can be swayed easily and I ain't got the cha-ching for that.  Let alone the desire.;)

tlhdoc

Adam the more the merrier.  We don't discriminate. :)

Dave I think I will send them an email too.  It has been a week and neither of us live that far away.

MTNDAVE

OK, the e-mail to the CG got a response.  Here's what they have to say.

David,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Our per site rate is $28.00. If it's a holiday weekend it is $30.00 and there is a minimum three night stay. If there are 10 or more in the group, we give a 10% discount. We have a pavillion which you may use at no charge provided it is available the weekend of your outing. We have many exciting new plans for the new season. You can visit our website at //www.twingroveparkcampground.com and you can see the list of our events for the season. What is the name of your friend who also requested information?. We just received our brochures this morning so I can send them out to both of you.

Again I apoligize for the inconvenience, please feel free to call of email me with any other questions you may have.

Jamie

Enough said,  now we know.  The brocures are coming.  Let's get a firm idea of the count and see what we can do about getting located on specific sites.

Tracy, I think you were told front or back of CG.  We should all look at the CG map on the Website and then one of us give em a call with the count and see where they can place us together.  Back around the "P" & "Q" sections look interesting.  If I recollect that's back by the stream, away from the road and out of the main part of the CG.

tlhdoc

Dave they are holding 10 sites back in that area, but not along the stream.  They have seasonal sites along the stream. :(

They are supposed to send me a campground map (better than the one online) with the group information.  They will have the sites listed and then we can make the reservations.  It looks like we have over 10 families planning on attending so we will get the discount.

MTNDAVE

Tracy,

Great news.  Let me know when you get the map and we can make reservations.

I'll be in Texas the week of 2/8 thru 2/13 so I will be getting a taste of warmer weather and will surely return with a need to get a campin'

copcarguy

Oh man I can't wait to make reservations for this trip.  I am glad I thought of it.  :W
