Question for Louise...

Actually 2 questions....
 
1st, does Pocahontas SP have a play ground? I'm being asked by friends that are coming on easter weekend, they have young ones and for the life of me, I can't remember if there was one there or not?!?!
 
2nd...RIR tickets, are they just for NEXTEL Cup, or both that and the Busch race? Also, how much are they and are all four still available? I'm also assuming you're talking about the spring event not the fall event?

Sorry it took so long to reply...the State Park Office sent me to Natural Tunnel State Park (7 hours away!) all week last week for a merchandising training meeting. I'm just now getting around to looking at my computer!

There is a nice modern "modular" playground in the picnic area - a short drive or a 15 - 20 minute walk from the campground. There are also still swings on the lake where the boat dock is.  

Yes, the RIR tickets are for the May Nextel Cup Race only. There are plenty of Busch tickets available at the track. I think the cup tickets are $85 each, and as of last weekend, I think we still had at least 4 available. My daughter-in-law is expecting...and due MAY 15!!!...so my ticket may also be sold at the track!  Let me know if you are interested, and I will check with my mom and be sure she is still getting the 8 extra tickets (she gets them twice a year from a lady that works with her that doesn't use them anymore.)

I have the Dining Hall held for the potluck on Saturday. I haven't asked my boss about cost yet. I will let you know if there is any.

Sounds good. I've passed the ticket info on the group of friends that would be sharing this with me (Acer etc...) to see if this is something we want to do. Bit of logistics to figure out too... Will get back to you on it.

Louise, looks like "The Group" is going to decline on the tickets. I'm not sure I'm in a position to be able to afford them right now, and at least 2 others in the group don't want to deal with small/tight bleacher seating and the crowds. So figured I let you know now while there is still time to sell them.
