Four thumbs up from our camp.  Posted pics and details online.  I'll also post the link in the campgrounds section.

I'll be posting pics and details about the Garmin iQue 3600 GPS soon to.  Amazing little device navigated us door to door easily.  So far, it has far exceeded my expectations.   :D    Yes, more toys...

Nice pics, Robert.  The boys are beautiful ( when they get older, dont  tell them anyone said "that" about them, I dont want to hurt their manly pride ;) )  The shot of  all the cypress knees brought back memories of my teenaged Fla years.

You know, your buddies who live in cold climes really appreciate reports on good Fla parks--keeping lists for future reference when they get to head southward in winter time.  Keep up the good work! :W  :)

That's the way to do a real camping and campground report. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks for the nice review!  Because of your positive experience, I decided today to book a weekend there next month!

Loved the report and the pictures.  I started laughing while I was readin it though, because we are the exact same way.  If we are camping....it's gonna rain and our neighbors are always saying "isn't it about time to go camping, I need to fertizle the yard".  Ha-Ha!

Just in case you guys think I'm exaggerating...

5 different camping trips that I bothered to take pictures of the rain.  Many others I didn't!

Like they say here, don't like the weather, give it a little while.

Thanks for the comments gang.  We want to go back when it is warmer so we can take either our canoe or kayak.

Hmmmm, 2manytoyz, is it you causing the rain or DW?  Byrdr1 has accused wahoo for causing the rain on many camping trips and it turned out that it didn't rain when AirAngel, the DW of wahoo, was not camping with them. :D  :J

I am 1/16th American Indian, so there's a good chance my dancing while packing for a trip is having a negative effect.

Note to self: Stop dancing.

 ;)

Same here but don't really know what % native as some family was not as proud as I.

Robert it sounds like you should be part of our club.  It rains on us all the time. :D   It looks like a very nice park.  Tell me about your 7 inch DVD player.

2manytoyz

The DVD player I bought was made by Initial (who?).  I spent time reading up on portable DVD players, and the concensus is the all play about the same.  You pay a lot for the big names, but the performance is about the same.

I got it months ago from Circuit City for about $249.  I see that Amazon will be selling them shortly for just under $200.  The image quality is outstanding.  The built-in speakers are cheesy, just like all of these portable DVD players.  BUT, plug in headphones and you've got big rich sound.  I use a Y-cable to feed two headphones used by our boys.

From the ad: This one plays DVDs and Kodak picture CDs, as well as audio CDs, CD-R/RWs and MP3s. The parental lock, built-in stereo speakers and headphone output make it the perfect backseat companion, while the S-video, composite video and coaxial output let you add it to your entertainment system at home.

Another neat feature is it not only outputs video/audio, but it will input it too.  Now you can hook up your digital camera or camcorder while camping to see the results of a days recording.  I also have a small tuner that uses two AAA batteries, so I can use this as a TV too.

The wife has gone on a couple of TDY trips for Uncle Sam and has used this to watch movies in flight with the included battery.  Has enough juice to watch 2 movies.  It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and various hook up cables.  Comes with a thin remote control too.

We have watched probably 40+ movies collectively on this.  Never had a single problem or skip, even in the truck.  Most of the movies we watched are DVD copies (DVD+R & DVD-R).  If I had to do it over again, I'd buy exactly the same model (IDM-1731).   :)
