Just want to report that this minirally is going along wonderfully.  G and I stopped by yesterday.  Oh the food and the laughter.  Just wonderful.  So wonderful in fact that we are going back at noon today just for the day.

Here's the group shot at dinner:

What Scott said!!!  We had a great time two days in a row at a rally that we didn't even attend!  The highlight tonight was fireworks over the ocean.  WOW!  We were also able to get some new recruits.  We mentioned home brew, Margaritas, and wine, but didn't mention the "koolade"!  ;)   As the postcards say... great time had by all!!

Now that I'm rested up from our weekend of non-camping I want to say a big thank you to OC Campers, the SimiRich family, Griffsmom & dad, and Mikey.

I wasn't there for the kiddie Bingo game, but was for the adult version and I won! :-() Thanks for providing me with a nice bottle of wine, Mikey.  And, even tho he almost lost a finger making it, the sausage, potatoes and peppers were delicious!  It was so nice to see Corey again and to meet Mark and Tyler, too. They fit right in.  Maybe next time we will get to meet the elusive Delissa.

Lori & Dave, thank you for the use of your Sun Valley, knives, dishes, chairs, etc.  It was our home away from Sea Pine.  We had an hysterical moment as Lori and Dave pointed things out and gave a description.  For instance, pointing at the extension cord multi-outlet thingie Lori said "Surfcal."  Dave pointed at the no-ice cooker and said "Scott".  Pointing at the plate-cup-plasticware holder Lori said, "G", who said "Rita"! :D This went on for at least 10 minutes!  And, I have to mention that your DO cooking is suberb ( I don't dare step on the scale after having two helpings of the Red, White & Blue Cobbler) and I'm looking forward to more of it at Pismo!  Seeing Jay and June ride up on that big "hog" (do they still call them "hogs"?) was a real treat, too.

Thank you Jacqui and Randy for lending me clothing when we realized mine never made it out of the car that was parked down on the PCH.  The DO lazagna was delicious and put me on carb overload status.  And the artichoke dip last night was addicting!  Everytime I turned around it seemed like some sort of food was coming out of this site.  We finally got to Meet the Folks (Jacqui's), Del & Judy!!!  I hope we didn't scare them with our antics. :J

Within 15 minutes of our Saturday afternoon arrival, Rich was handing me a Margarita!!  He knew it was 5 o'clock somewhere!  And, Tamara's Saturday night DO dessert is an award winner in my book!  In fact, the night before Scott and I were at an upscale (for Ventura) Italian restaurant for dinner and had that exact dessert except for the fact that Tamara's was far better.  Seeing Casey, Lisa and family again was fun and having the chance to talk "Tequila" with Casey was enlightening.  I hope Gina (sp) and Tonya (sp) join us again sometime since we barely got to say hello before we headed home so Scott could get a good nights sleep for his early morning wake-up call.  I also have to mention that at some point at Pismo we have to have an adult Mexican Train game so that Tamara and I have a chance to even the score. ;)

Moose & Moosette... even tho you could not attend this rally, you were definitely there in Spirit.  These DO students of yours really outdid themselves this time.  If there is a next level, they are all ready for it.  Hope your ears didn't burn too much because your names came up often this weekend.

And that, my friends, is the summarized version of a rally, that we did not even attend. :#

Georgeanne, you said it ALL!!  We had a wonderful weekend.  I was sad to have to pack up and go   Even though this was a mini-rally there was a  huge amount of fun and laughter.  All the kids played together, all the women sat around and talked till the weee hours of the morning and the men hung out at Mike's place and played poker till the bathroom breaks were occuring more often then the poker hands:! :D .

We couldn't of asked for better weather.  Yes we were at the beach but there was no gloom at all.  The sun was shining bright at 7am.   The kids all had a blast at the beach and then the littlest campers and the biggest (dad) campers came back and took 3 hour naps.  Life is so good when you camp.

We all agreed that we were glad we had popups at this campground.  It was very cramped quarters and some had to fight it out for a parking spot.  Friday night (11pmish) we had some entertainment.  A couple with their huge 27ft 5th wheel tried to squeeze themselves into this site ment for something a lot smaller.  Tamara, Lori and I just stood and watched.   If his 5ver was any bigger it wouldn't of gotten in.  As it was, he got it in his site but when the slide out came out he was sharing our site too.:) .  Oh well,   this is what happens on a holiday weekend.    We just hung out with the others and shared a lot of laughs.

I am so looking forward to camping with everyone again up at Pismo.  Come on Mikey, you just have to come too.  We have to meet DeLissa.

Hiya Gang,

Just a huge thank you to ""EVERYONE"" for making our trip as fun as it was. It was super nice to have met some of the nicest people ever. It was also very nice to see some that I have met before. It's always fun with the Sccamper Familys.

DeLisa got home lastnight and saw the posts and I could see in her eyes, She, or wait, maybe it was that other woman ?   hahahahaha,  Naaaaa she, being Delisa, was sad she yet again missed this trip.  My promise is that DeLisa will attend the next one.  Mark and Tylor were awesome with their 1st outing. Mark can do my dishes anytime. :-)

Im still thinking of them tasty meat balls.  More to come. Work is calling me.

Thank you all.

OK, what was Tamara's dessert? We wished we were with you, but had to put in lots of work making a fire break around the house in the sierra's. Two and a half days later, we only got a quarter of it done. We are definitely looking forward to Pismo, but our youngests wedding comes first.

Tamara made the Chocolate Lovers delight cake for Dave's birthday.  It came out so yummy.  Almost all of your desserts Moose were presented.  I made the peach/orange cobbler, Lori made the red, white and blue cobbler and Tamara made the cake.  You would of been so proud of your students.  Tamara even made a new recipe called Pepsi chicken which was wonderful too.  I also made my new lasagna recipe which also got rave reviews.  I guess an empty 12in DO is the give away that the recipe was a success.

Had to get to work this morn so I didn't finish my last post.

Everyone was exceptionally nice to MY guests ( Mark/Tylor) and Corey. Personal ty 2 Scott.  I also have about 30ish minutes of Sunday late afternoon and eve Video. It's filmed by the kids and myself.  If anyone wishes to see it and make a copy, I will mail it to you. If others wish the same, the holder needs to send it. Kinda like a chain letter. There are some cute moments. All I ask is that it gets mailed back to me after the last person.  He/She who says yes 1st, starts the chain.  This on a 8mm cam corder tape. NOT Digital.

I also think someone has a special talant on photo captions. Absolutly the best I have ever seen.

I checked our schedules for Pismo weekend and it won't work for us BUT, I might take a drive out on Saturday that weekend and spend time with you. If allowed due to park allowances and so on.

Anyone care to share the red, white, blue recipe. That was to darn tasty.

Mike, I am sad to hear you won't make it to Pismo.  We all had such a great time together.   I am glad that Mark and Tylor enjoyed camping, even though Mark had to do the dishes.  How's the thumb?  Were you able to go to work?  I think the sausage and peppers was the best I have ever had.  I again wanted to thank you for the wagonmaster gift.  The kids and I have already polished off the chocolates and Randy and I will open the champagne soon.  The kids also enjoyed the bingo and prizes.
