Well first I can't brag about my deep cycle battery anymore. After 6 years and 10 months it is toast. Tried suflating it, but no cigar. One flat out dead cell.

Put it in the truck and low and behold drivers side rear tire flatter than a board and my compessor didn't help as the tire was broken loose from the bead.
Thank God for AAA.

Tire changed and all's well, or so I thought. As the AAA guy drives away around the corner I find the truck's battery has decided that it can't go on living without it's partner the deep cycle. Call AAA back.
Of course it's a maintenance free so there's no maintaning it.
Truck battery is toast as well. Can't say it owes me anything as it's over 7 years old.

So within 3 hours I lost two batteries and had a flat.
Oh, bye the way the tires is bad as well. So it's going to be an ouch to the wallet this afternoon.

Something else that comes in 3's...
Maybe you're being told not to go out..... sit back and relax:!

As with me, when it rains, it pours. :(

Just had a flat ! The second in three months ! I am sick and tired of them nails !!!!! Is there a curse on PUT members or what ?

Sigh, some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. Seems one bad thing just follows another. Take the day off, stay inside & don't touch anything. All will be well tomorrow......maybe.  ;)

Gee!!

I had a couple of things happen yesterday too! I broke my house key when I got home yesterday, and while at work my lab coat caught a doorknob as I was walking by, and RIPPED my labcoat from stem to stern!

I'm feeling a little paranoid with all this happening on OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY!!! Holly and I are Newlyweds No More (officially), but we'll still act like it.

Some of you may remember that two years ago tomorrow was when I posted to PUT from Hawaii!!!!

This is soo funny... (sorry guys, the problems stink) but we JUST heard a sermon on this Sunday!!   :)   The title was, "It's always something"!!  There will always be "somethings" in life, it just matters how you react to it.  10% of life is spent on things happening to you, 90% is spent on how you react/deal with them.  You would believe how stressed I get when someone doesn't just turn off the dang light when you leave the room!!  After $160. electric bill per month - I want the lights turned off!  Your problems are all valid and do stink  :) !   :#

$160 is cheap.... be thanksful.....we do average billing as the winter months are so high and with average billing we're over $240 a month (jump from $205)

Would you all me mad at me if I told you that the highest electric bill we had this winter was about $35? The reason it was that high was from a heat lamp we used.

B-flat

No, we won't be mad at anyone except the electric company. ;)   Ours in NC is less than $100/mo in the coldest weather and hottest weather when the heatpump is running.  Having a well insulated house really pays off in reduced heating and cooling costs.

aw738

I didn't mention that we spend about $700 a year on Propane to heat and cook with. One good thing is when the power goes out we still have heat. In my experiance electric heat is cold and doesn't cook all that well.

Around here where the weather is mostly mild year round save for about 2 days when it snows and melts, heatpumps are very efficent for both heating and cooling.  We stay very warm in winter and cool in summer when the humidity can get very sticky around August.  I used to have gas heat, gas clothes dryer, gas stove but the gas company kept going up and up on the fuel.  My all electric house is much less costly.  I do have gas logs in the fireplace in case the electric were to go off.  It really depends on where you live and your lifestyle as to how much you spend on those utilities.  Now, turn that light off when you are not using it! :J

We just got the gas bill in the new house :( It is 600 C$ for 2.5 months :( I almost regret that we moved to a detached house ! It is soo high ! WE kept the house little bit hot to get rid of the new house smell and the humidity and now have to pay for it ! Electricity bill will be worse I am sure !
