Hey everyone!  :W

Can you believe that it's already time to start thinking about our Halloween rally again?   :D   Vail Lakes Resort books sites no ealier than 6 months in advance.  Remember, they sell out quickly, and it might be nice to reserve the sites in Chardonnay Mesa this year.  If so, April is the month for us to act!  For those of you who missed our First Annual Trick-or-Treat in Temecula, you can visit the http://www.Sccampers.org and click on the past rallies link.  You can also check out VLR's site: http://www.vaillakeresort.com

My guess is that VLR's Halloween Festival will be held the last three weekends of October, like it was last year.  We were there the first weekend, which I thought worked out well for the kids, as it spread Halloween out that much longer for them.  I suggest that we have this rally the weekend of 10/15-17/04.  I'm happy to make the reservations, but I'll need to know approximately how many sites to reserve.  Post here if you'd like to attend.

:Z Boo!

YES YES YES and that weekend is perfect.

Lori- I'm going to be pushy and give you site preferences in order of importance:

55, 56, 59, 28.

I have two families that also showed interest in going so I will let them know :D

THANKS

It is a possibility that we can attend.  We enjoyed last years trip and looking forward to other trips with the group.

We definitely would like to attend. I also have several friends who would like to join us as well, I am sure. (They don't have pop-ups, but we can let them park their hardsides next to us as long as they bring some wine to share....)

I think that we will be able to fill as many sites as get booked. I say, book as many as possible! I don't think we'll have trouble filling them up!

Lori - does this mean that you are planning on wagonmastering the Trick-or-Treat rally this year?

When we settle down again, I'll have Paula check her vacation time. It's fine by me.

Definitely sign us up.  Jim and the kids had a great time last year and I was sorry to miss it.  The Darksiders are also on board for this one.  Thanks Lori for getting this going!

Randy,  I think you're right about that.  I will try to reserve all of the sites in the Chardonnay Mesa area where we had the May rally last year (sites 14-28 and 46-65).  That will give us about 35 sites.

Count us in! I don't remember which sites had shade but whatever the shadiest one is- put us there! We'll have two dogs with us this year. It's always so hot in October. Last year it was like 100

I think you'll probably fill most of it, I have 2 families that are interested in going also. We will probably go Thurs  since it only take an hour, I did that labor day weekend and we had the pool practically to ourselves Thurs and Friday.

kimrb266

We would like shade and to be close to the restrooms.  I think that maybe 52 53 or 56 would be good for us.

Whoa!!!

Before everyone goes and gets their hearts set on a specific site, I won't be able to reserve any sites until the morning of April 1st.  According to VLR, the reservation process for their Halloween weekends sounds very similar to trying to reserve summer holiday weekends with Reserve America.  I may not even be able to get the Chardonnay sites and may have to opt for back down in the Oaks.  I love everyone's eagerness, but you'll need to wait to pick your site until I list the sites I was able to reserve.  And let's not forget, one of the perks of being weagonmaster is that you get first choice for a site.  :p  After that, everything else is up for grabs on a first-post, first-paid basis.  :D

Lori: we will be happy with a site anywhere you can get one  :D
all we need are good friends, good food, beer, and a good fire.

THANKS for taking the rein and being the wagonmaster
