This was our first SCCampers outing, and we had a great time - other than the rain and all the gunk that dripped down from the Oak trees we were underneath - we all had a lot fun.  Thanks, to Lori for organizng it, and to Randy for organizing the T-shirts.  I am looking forward to the next event we can attend.

Quote from: Sue HardeeThe Hardee/Hively familys had a great time we were almost the last family to leave. We saw the pastor and his wife packing up as we left. ...It was such a big group sorry we weren't able to get out and meet every one, besides I don't remember peoples names very well anyway..Lori you did a wonderful job of arranging this trip a big thank you...The potlucks were great and I hope you do post your receipe for enchiladas. I have never been to a CG that everyone decorates that was great...My Ghost bit the mud, I think. The flinders did a great job on the t-shirts..a big thanks to you all.

Packing up was a bit of a challenge, first time camping in the rain for us. I loved listening to the rain while trying to sleep...everything was pretty wet and muddy. The inside was dry, I guess our roof repairs worked. We popped her up again after we got home and tried to get her somewhat dry and put her down again last night alittle damp. I hope it will be o.k. Doesn't look like we will be able to pop her up again this week with all the rain.

Now on to camperland on the bay in Nov. This time we will meet everyone. If it rains we will be experienced.
Sue---whatever it takes, pop it back up, get out towels and dry it off and put it away DRY.  You'll be glad you did because the mildew spots are A PAIN.

Quote from: PopUpMommaUs "newbies" made it home too.  First time in the rain.  Boy we really underestimated the Power of a rain storm.  Lori, thanks for a wonderful trip!  We're in for next year for sure!!  Randy, Great job on the T-shirts!  Douglas Family, thanks for the laughter.  Your kids are great!  hope you had a safe and easy trip home.  For all of you we didn't get to meet, We'll be back!  Thank you all for being so nice and making us feel so welcome!  to anyone who has a copy of the Haunted Hayride soundtrack......please burn it!   :eyecrazy: (we were the site right next to the entrance to the hayride.)  We are not sure how we are going to get to sleep tonight.   :p

We made it back safe to Arizona, and I just wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality. The SCCampers are a great group of folks! Thanks especially to Lori for a great job of organizing, Randy for the wonderful T-shirts, and PopUpMomma for teaching us to play spoons. Our kids had an absolutely wonderful time (they actually enjoyed the campout better than Disneyland). We look forward to hopefully incorporating future campout dates with your group in our vacation plans. Thanks again for everything!

Hi, All!  We just want to say "thank you" to everyone.  This was our first Scampers trip (our third trip in all)...and we loved it!  We truly appreciated all of your friendliness and kindness.  We are definitely going to camp with you again!  Unfortunately, it won't be until after the first of the year. :(

A special "thank you" to Kim and Richard and Dee for helping us get our trailer parked...and for being such nice neighbors.  Also, "thank you" to Lori for organizing all of it...what a feat!  :D

The rain made it even more memorable.  We were able to get home, wash the trailer and canvas...and let it air dry.  We had JUST closed it up when the rain started again.  We were lucky this time.

Have fun at the RV show this weekend...we have soccer, so we will have to pass.

Take care!

Well,

It sounds like everyone had a great time.  I know that we did.  It was our first time dealing with any real rain, and breaking camp in the rain was definitely an "experience."  The potlucks were great, it was great to see so many of our friends, as well as to meet new friends.  I took a bunch of photos, and I'll post the link to them once I get a chance to upload them off of the camera.

Lori - Thanks for being our fearless leader for this event.  Everything turned out great - you did an outstanding job.

Dave - Thanks for doing my shopping!

Kim and Richard - It was fun watching your little ones play and interact.  Those little ones really keep you on your toes!  It was great camping with you again!

Dee (and Dan) - Well, Dee, what can I say?  These rallys would not be complete without you.  Sorry you were so frazzled, but I am looking forward to a tour of that new hybrid I keep hearing about.

Carl and Edwin - It was great to meet you!  We had a blast on the haunted hayride with you - and Edwin is quite the brave little guy. We hope that we get to camp with you again, and maybe the rest of your family as well!

Moose - The highlight of the potluck was that Chocolate Cake.  As always, a complete pleasure to camp with you!

Jacqui and Randy - We totally missed you - and even tho we had a great time - there was just something missing without you guys.

I wish we could have met more of our new camping friends, but one weekend is just so short.  Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!

As usual we had a great time.  We enjoyed meeting new friends and look forward the next camping opportunity.

The kids had a great time, Matthew enjoyed playing with his new firiends.
Josh-well, what can I say..he had fun too.
Matthew says he doesn't miss that "grumpy music!!!!":yikes:

Trick or treat was fun, so much candy, not sure the kids need to head out again on the 31st.

Hi, we had a great at time at Vail Lake; Jesse really enjoyed himself.  We didn't get to meet too many of you; we were camped way out on the other side.  We enjoyed the kids stopping by and Trick or Treating; Jesse got lots of candy.  We want to thank Lori for being Wagon Master, she did a great job.  We enjoyed seeing all of the pop ups.  We are looking forward to the next one.
