Quote from: griffsmomRandy--If you have the time and inclination, you could go ahead and create the Web page for this rally. That way, everyone can more easily see current site assignments and which sites are still available. Thank you again for offering to set the rally site up!

No problem, I'll try to get something up soon.  I'm really swamped at work so most likely it will be something simple.  Also, in case I sent it to the wrong email address, we would like to take site 172.

Is it October yet?

Got your e-mail.  No hurries on the Website--simple is fine, I'm a simple woman (although Dave would disagree) ;)

Dee4j

The website is live. Check it out at:

www.sccampers.org/halloween2004/index.html

I went for simple but fun. If there are any changes or updates, the site will get updated much faster if you email me rather than posting. My email is randy@flindersfamily.com ("randy@flindersfamily.com")

Also, you can also get to the site from the "Future Trips" page of www.sccampers.org.

Randy,

The Web site looks great!!  Simple nothing; you're too modest!  I love the pictures from last year's rally!

Oops! Forgot to give you our info to add to the site:

2 adults
1 boy: 3.5 y/o
Yes to t-shirts: 1 YS, 1 L, and 1 XL

Also, what about this for the design? (I took it off the rally Web page that Randy created because I thought it was pretty cool!)

Randy, I love the web iste for the rally.  I also agree with Lori, I think the scary popup would be a cool looking t-shirt.

I thought about using that image as well, but I am not sure it would turn out too well.  The image is dark, and small.  Also, the number of colors in the image would make the T-Shirts cost more money. The scary popup image was based on photographs, which require lots of colors to look decent.  I think we would be better off with an artwork (drawing) based graphic.

If we could create a large two-color image, that would be best.  The more colors, the higher the cost.  Last year's is a great example.  You can view last year's here:

http://www.sccampers.org/halloween/tshirt.htm

Is there someone with enough artistic talent that is willing to throw something together?

Another point I wanted to bring up is that, while I love last year's t-shirt, I find that I don't wear it much because it is black.  Way too hot.  I like to wear my rally shirts when I camp, and since I mostly camp when it's warm, I suggest we go with white shirts this year.  White with an Orange/Black graphic.  Any thoughts?

griffsmom

I actually prefer white t-shirts, but IIRC, there are some who think they get dirty too quickly.  But isn't that what washing machines are for? :p ;)

I am completely ignorant when it comes to the details of printing and making t-shirts.  I trust your judgment and a drawing-based graphic would be fine with me.  Maybe the Web site graphic could be used for inspiration? :)

Dee4j

AWESOME website!!!!

RE: T-shirts, I wear my Halloween one all the time, but I'm one that wears a lot of black.  White stains and shows the dirt to easy, and if the weight of the shirt is too thin ,white looks cheesy (so far the shirt quality has been good)

How about the speckled grey that we had for Casitas?(sept 2002)

I agree with the less colors.

Grey is fine too, but Randy wasn't with us yet back in the days of casitas.  The grey was a light, sort of heather grey.  We can wear them at Pismo and everyone can see the color then.  Someone is bound to be wearing their shirt--at the very least, my little monkey!!!  I can barely get Griffin's "pop up shirt" (not to be confused with his "Halloween pop up shirt" which runs a close second only because I don't let him wear it to church) off of him to wash it! :yikes:

You are supposed to WASH them?!?    And remove all the camping 'memories'?  No Way!

Actually, I have seen Scott modeling his grey rally shirt, and I think that the grey would be a good compromise between white and black.  If no one else objects, I'll plan on grey shirts with black and orange graphics. Now we just need to figure out the graphics.

I love a man who can make a decision!  You go, boy!!  ;) :D

Hey kids, Been awhile since I've logged on, much to my surprise you're planning t-shirts for October. Why wait for tomorrow, eh. Anyhow, I'm the one that came up with last year's design. I can fiddle with it after we get back from our Florida vacation. If black is too hot, I suggest grey, maybe a light faded purple. Thoughts? To keep the cost down maybe the same image as last year only on the front with type changes that reflect the second annual event.
