Brake Contoller Question

Got a question about brake controllers.  I have a new Prodigy brake controller. Next week I will be renting a small U-haul trailer (no trailer brakes) to haul a small piano 800 miles. I am using a 7-pin to a flat 4-pin converter to go from the TV to the trailer (to operate the trailer lights and the brake lights).  Will this cause any problems for the brake controller?  I am assuming that the brake wires are just left open on the converter.  I just want to make sure that I will not mess up the brake controller that I have not yet used wth my camper.
Thanks.

Controller won't even know the trailer is there. ;)

We tow a boat or utility trailer with us often and there is no problems converting from 7 pin to 4 pin.

The brakes are not included in the 4 pin connector, so you will not have a problem. :)
