Hey Folks,
My cousin has a mid 90's Forestriver that he just busted a lift cable.  He is going to try and fix it himself.  Anyone ever done this and can give me some tips I can pass along to him?

Thanks.

A couple years ago, we had to get some new parts and do major repairs on the door of our 1995 Rockwood, made by Forest River.  We called their service department in Goshen, Indiana several times and a guy named Mike walked DH through the whole repair.  He couldn't have been more helpful.  I think the phone # is 574-534-3167.  HTH.

Nick,

I just replaced my main cable on my daughter and SIL's  1978 Palomino PU.

Got excellent service for the replacement cable, diagram and installation instructions for the complete lift system from a company named Canvas Replacements.

Send them an e-mail at canvasreplacements.com.

They have an add in this month's copy of PUT if you are a subscriber.

They are a OEM supplier, so the replacement parts fit perfectly.

They will set you up with everything you will need.

    Hope this helps.
