Dw and I were driving down the San Diego Freeway last Wednesday(4/7)  when we spotted a dark green,or blue, late model van towing a Starcraft pop up with a PUT sticker on it. It was in the late afternoon, near  Palos Verdes-Laguna Hills. When we waved our second PUT sticker(first is on our silver 2001 Dodge Ram) at the family in the van,it looked like we got a response. Now we are trying to figure out who it was.Any ideas?

I have never spotted a PUT bumper sticker, wow you are lucky.  Maybe they are camping and will post when they get back. :)

We were pretty excited about it.Mary was driving at the time-she attempted to "stay with" the pop uppers for about 50 miles, while I attempted to catch their attention by waving our second PUT sticker at them.We also passed them,so they could see the bumper sticker on our truck. It is sometimes difficult to get other's attention on the Southern California freeways.Driving there often requires intense concentration on the heavy traffic. Also, many people avoid looking directly at the occupants of other vehicles.
                  Thanks for the reply.

did you post on the west! site? to see if you get a heads up?

It wasn't me which means I wasn't going camping   I have mine proudly displayed on my PU's bumper and am Always on the look out for a PUT sticker whenever I see a PU on the road

OK, since the spotted person isn't stepping forward we may have to do this by a process of elimination!

It wasn't me. :D  :W

Wasn't GSMx2 or G-Whiz, sorry to say. But we have good clues... Starcraft, dark green or blue late model van... If it is one of "us", that should really make it easy to pin down.  Could you see how many people in the van?  Kids?  Dogs?  Any other clues???

The detectives hot on the trail of the mystery camper. ;)

California licence plates. There were,at least, four occupants.2 adults in the front. At least one child in the back. There possibly was a dog passenger.I believe that the Starcraft pop up was a tan color. The van,or minivan, continued southbound when we exited the freeway at the Oso Parkway,in Mission Viejo. The trailer had two stickers-One PUT;we have forgotten what the other said.

You know, this  happened at least twice before on the old board and although we had a fairly long thread wondering both times who they were, no one ever  responded to the sighting or the details of it, so we were left to wonder if they were just magazine subscribers or had picked the stickers up at a RV show and just didnt belong to the board--or maybe--God forbid!-- didnt have  a computer.

:WHave the rest of you fallen into the habit lately --as I seem to--of thinking that just about everyone "in the civilized world" has a computer?:W

Or maybe this is a PUT members EX-Pop UP  ? This never occured to any one of you ?    tsk tsk tsk   :D  :J  :W

OC Campers

It wasn't us. We have a dark green Astro and a Coleman Westlake. The only person I believe in our SC Camper group who has a Starcraft is Cstars. The have a silver Toyota Previa minivan but their popup is white not tan.

We are slowly narrowing down who it could be. :D
