Tracy honey chile, are you trying to tell us with icons that you are having a nervous breakdown?    Are you trying to tell us with icons that WE are having a nervous breakdown? :screwy:

Now that Marcel Marceau is dead, are you trying to take his place? :W

Or, are you trying--without words--to hi-jack this thread?  And get the rest of us in trouble with Dave?  :yikes:

Ok this is how I read this..

" Hooray!  Dave's back and he's doing a great job...
  Wait a minute... What's this...?
Oh MAN!  They're at it again...!
  Those little devils...!
They are yelling at each other again...
And getting each other upset, hurting feelings...
  WHY...?
Can't they just chill out a while and have a beer and toast to friendship and     sharing good times?"

Dang, Cindy, ya ruined my silly joke.

Well, now I have to admit my old high school teacher was right when she insisted  it was useful to read a furren language (she just neglected to tell us we'd need to learn   "Iconics":J )

BTW...

I just love it when you say stuff like this and "chile" because I know Birol is looking at the screen going "Argh!  I can't understand a thing that crazy Elisa is saying!  What IS a furren and Why DOES she keep calling people pepper names?"

Sorry B.... you are still the  :theking:

NightOwl

LOL Cindy--I have to admit that Tracy's icons were  GRREATT and your fanatstic translation was right on!  Although he may not know "Iconic" or "southernese" :J Birol probably speaks at least  3-4 furren languages (most well-educated people in Turkey and  other furren countries do--)

BTW--where'd you learn to speak Iconics, Honey Chile? ;)

Actually, this may sound a little  :screwy: but....

My 4yo nephew was born profoundly deaf and over the years I have been teaching myself sign language to be able to communicate with him more easily.  Many sign language words are translated through the hand gestures quite literally.  The little  :screwy: sign is actually the sign for crazy, but more than that, when one is signing, facial expression and body posture is extremely important in conveying meaning or feeling into signed words.  So being able to interpret a string of emoticons is kind of like signing.

About my nephew... He had a cochlear implant at age 18 months and while he's wearing his processor,(a little magnetic "microphone" that sticks to his head, working with the implant embedded into his skull) he can actually hear! He understands speach, can hear music, birds twittering and cricket chirping in the night! And just as importantly, the lay person can understand his speach without assistance.  The advances in technology are  quite amazing.

Cindy,

He is precious.  May he always hear the world's most joyous sounds. :)

Chile ? Give me a break, Is Cindy a famous Chili Cook and we don't know that ? That Weird  :swear: Nigthowl !!!!

It is true that sometimes I don't understand some stuff, but it is sort of rare  :theking:  I also might miss the hidden meanings (implied stuff) sometimes. BUT fear not ! I learn mighty fast !

I am glad that your nephew can hear and talk .....Technology is really helping all of us in a lot of areas. and he is a  cute kid by the way !  :#
