I don't think she is going to ever camp with us

B, I have this mental image of people all over the place standing up right where they are doing the dance of Joy right along with you!!   It's fantastic, and I am soooo happy for you, and just happy in general that this happened.  You've waited long enough, and this PU ws inexpensive enough to be able to spen a little extra to personalize it the way you want.

Congrats, Birol! It looks like her owners took very good care of her. Enjoy your new baby!

Sorry, gang, it  isnt really worth sharing, it is just a little something between  Birol  and me--free advice from a "wise old friend", nothing  at all in it  interesting to anyone else.

Wow!  We are going to see pics and  get descriptions and questions!!  This will bring new life to the board for at least the next 2 years while we discuss Birol's new Treasure  and  think of each and every detail, mod, fault, feature we MUST know about in all its glory!!  :)  :S :W

Birol, I am sorry Babette is not interested in going with you, but  then you must not  nag her about it--I am sure you wont--just go and enjoy camping  as others on the board do when they have a spouse not into  camping.  Perhaps she will change her mind, but if she doesnt, then  it can be one of those things you have to enjoy without her but with the children.  And while you-all are gone, she can relax and catch  her breath.

Birol... since you will most likely be traveling I90 to get there and back, why not make your first night with your new pu an actual camping trip?  Sturbridge Village is right on the way, near the intersection of I90 and I84.  It's a great area to visit with lots of history.

I found this cg just 10 mins from Old Sturbridge Village

Youch I pulled my back out while dancing!!!

I got so caught up in all the excitement that I never got around to looking at the e-bay pics until just now.  Birol, it looks in really good shape and  I think if it is as good in real life as in the pictures, you got a real bargain.  So long as there is nothing major wrong, the small ones can either be tolerated or fixed inexpensively.  Looks like it had good care.

Sure wish I had our '68 Skamper back!!  :(

angelsmom10

Do you have a hitch?  Or do you have to get that first?

B-flat

Be sure to find out from the owner what size hitch ball you need!  ;)   Oh yeah, all kinds of advice, already. :D

birol

Excellent idea, I was going to ask about places to stay and stuff too ! You beat me to it ! I have no idea how soon I will be able to get the PU though I need temporary plates or something to drive it probably ! too much stuff to sort of ijn such a short time !I want to get it on Monday :):):)
