Congratulations, looks great. You'll have so much fun making it yours.

WAY-TO-GO BIROL.  I am so happy for you.  Now maybe you can take a drive over here to SE Michigan and do some camping our way.  We would be honored to have ya.:-() :#

Looks pretty clean in the pictures. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

My wife bought a '77 Jayco, which we had for a little over a year. It was named "Daisey." It was small (8 foot box), and in decent shape. It sure beat sleeping on the floor, and since it was basic, there was nothing that needed maintenance. And, very light and easy to tow. And, the paranoia of damaging it was pretty low... a scratch here or there... no big deal.

One funny thing about it was, that after setting it up, with us in the bunk end, the frame would kind of sag. (we are not little, but also not huge folks). This would cause the gap for the door latch to get wider, to the point that the door would swing open in the middle of the night. Our first weekend out, we camped with our Indian Princess group, and we thought they were playing tricks on us. The next time out was in Sequoia, and we thought, maybee the bears are playing tricks on us!  :yikes:

We'd still have it, but we were made an offer we couldn't refuse on our freind's Coleman, which we now have. We sold our to a nice couple in Orange County... and we hope that they have been able to enjoy it.

You're going to love your classic popup, Birol.  Today, I saw 3 Starcrafts very similar to the one Birol got.  They were in the campground at a Bluegrass Fest.  I spotted them while doing my after supper walk to take a look at everyone's rigs.  Those Starcrafts had been lovingly cared for by the owners to the point they almost looked new......so clean and polished on the outside and the canvas looked good too.  I pointed them out to DH as we walked and said there's Birol's new to him popup.  LOL!  So, I say "Go Starcraft and go camping!" :)

I think I am going to really love it ! It really is a classic ! Almost Antique ! I intend to bring it to excellent shape and use it until I am bitten by the hybrid love ! I am sure it will sell for quite a few more dollars here in Ontario when I decide to sell it ! I intend to refinish all the cabinets inside and change the covers on cushions and mattresses ! that should give it a new look ! If the canvess is in bad shape, when I get a job, I will replcae that too and it will be like brand new !

You know you're a popup addict when the popup is cleaner than your house and gets washed more than the laundry.   Hmmmmm, time to revive and make a new thread. :D
