We are off this weekend to Bandy Creek in Tennessee.  Great campground.  Then it's back here until 6/12 when we go to Blackwater Falls and Watoga CGs in WV for 8 days.  Can't wait.  Lots of hiking to do.

Just curious, where abouts?

We'll be camping on the west slope of the Sierras in the El Dorado National Forest on Union Valley Reservoir.  Reservations were made last fall!

This is our 3rd year in a row to the same area - I've attached a picture:

We are going to camp near Casa De Fruta, which is close to San Jose,Ca,where we plan to attend the Red Road Pow Wow.Several Native American nations will be "represented" at the event, and we are really looking forward to experiencing this multi-cultural gathering.Just think-Right here and now, we have the opportunity to experience some of the richness, and diversity of human and Devine creation.Wow !
We wish you all a very safe, and fun filled, weekend.

We might be going to Knoebels over the weekend.  If you see anyone wearing a COTOC or PUT tee shirt stop and tell us hello. :)   Adam is going on Saturday.

I think we will be heading down to Murtle Beach SC on Monday, following the Memorial Day weekend.  My wife is going to have thyroid surgery on Thursday, and would like to camp at Pirates Cove or Pirates Landing (?) in Murtle Beach SC. before she goes through this.

We can't leave as early as we would like on Friday so we have decided to leave about 4:00AM on Saturday morning.  It is just not worth fighting the traffic from northern Virginia to Virginia Beach on Friday evening.

I appreciated the discussion in another thread about alternative routes but sitting in traffic just is no fun.   Just the adrenalin that gets pumping once we are hooked up and on the way!  A good cup of coffee will keep me going even if it is still dark!

Sounds like there is going to be some heavy relaxing this week-end!!!!  We want to hear all about these trips when you come back.  Who said there is nothing to talk about on this board!  What a selection of CG's and places to go!!!!!  It all sounds wonderful!

If you have time you should visit the town of Cass just north of Marlington and Wagtoa. Here is a link to the park. Cass Scenic Railroad State Park It is worth the short trip even if you don't ride the train just to see them depart and arive and visit the gift shop. Anyone who likes trains would love this state park. I highly recommend it

To Whitewater Memorial State Park :)

What a coincidence, Corey!!  That's where I'm going to be!

Can't wait to sit around the campfire with some old camping friends (ForestCreature, Cyclone and BearBait) and some new ones (PopupSgt, Don and SkipP).  We have  families from 8 different states meeting in one place to enjoy each other's company and our favorite activity ~ PU Camping!

... and may we all remember the true meaning of this weekend.   :usflag:

Indeed! Camping near a town named Liberty, how can one forget the meaning? I'm looking forward to putting faces with the names of friends made here...... camping with them will be a bonus!

Camping, friends, food.

Cool.
