well, WHERE IS HE?!!  I think he left for home yesterday from Lee and Andi's place?  And unless he  had some kind of TV or trailer trouble, he ought to be checking in with us some time today--it was supposed to be about 600 miles IIRC.  I'd have thought he'd have gotten home by now and let us hear that he's OK even though he'll probably be too tired and too rushed to give us any details just yet.

I am praying that all is well with him, our  brave, wandering board  member. :)

Quote Lee... "BTW, I think he is to be back today.. it was about a 10 hour drive and I think he was splitting it in 2 days."

I imagine we should be hearing from him any time now.  Not to worry, Elisa.  He has his puter with him.  If he's run into trouble, I'm sure he'd get in touch.

One possibility is that there is a long line at the border.  Remember... he needs to pass inspection before he can get across.  The inspector may be taking his time!

gosh, Cindy--I am so scatter-brained, DUH!  THANKS!  :!   I never thought of the border.  Of course, you are right! And  I Imagine that the announcement of expected terrorist  activites  may have made it even harder  and slower to get through the  inspection process than usual.  I bet the line is miles long.

And having a popup--well, a TRAILER--must look very suspicious if someone is looking for odd vehicle  combinations.   I guess we will hear they went throguh everything with a fine-toothed comb. :(  Maybe even give Birol a hard time as to why he is doing something so  potentially  subversive as actually towing a popup!    :yikes: )

This is the third time I've checked today to see if he's home yet.  DH looks at me as if I'm a little odd, worrying about this guy I've never met in person.  But I'm so-o-o-o excited for him...

When I got home last night, I told DH that he should be home at anytime, but since we hadn't heard from him by the time I left work, I too was starting to get worried.  I didn't want to think any more about it, so I stayed away from the computer.  Got into work early today and came right into the board and seen he had made it home OK and I felt relieved.
