Dutch Oven Accessories

At SCCamper's (our camping club) Memorial Day rally, I learned of a very cool accessory for dutch oven cooking.  Go to Home Depot, and in the lumber dept, you can buy a pressboard round (5/8" x 12" dia.) that is a perfect trivet for under a hot dutch oven.  
 
That way, when you take the DO off the coals and put it on the table, you won't scorch someone's nice tablecloth or damage the table from the heat.  They cost about a 1.88 each.  A bargain at twice the price!

I have 2 of these. They are in the bottom of my DO bags. The lid goes on top of that and the oven on top of the lid. It helps keep my ovens dry.
