Which is only visible under a microscope. Let's try it again:

Quote from: griffsmomOkay, we'll be at Lake Casitas the weekend of September 17 through the 19th. We are staying the B (Bass) loop and have site number 44, which as I recall, was well shaded--a good thing for Casitas in September. Bass loop has water and electric hoook ups and is within walking distance of the water park. I have attached a picture of the B loop.

If you'd like to join us, call Lake Casitas at (805) 649-1122 and make your reservation. It will cost you $54.50 for the two nights' stay. Since everyone calls to make their own reservation, there really is no wagonmaster for this rally. Therefore, in the fine tradition of NNC, I declare this a "non" rally, and have chganged the title of this thread accordingly!

Oh, the power of being moderator!! :J
Lori, the good thing about that site is it is a pull thru.  This could be a really good thing for you and Dave:yikes: :D   I think Cstars had that site at the Casitas rally.  It was nice and grassy and next to the pottie.  I wish we could be there.  Maybe the camping gods will be looking out for us and cancel soccer for that weekend.

Yes, pull-throughs are a VERY good thing for Dave and I!!! :eyecrazy: :D

I did remember that Joan had that site at the Casitas rally and that it was really nice and shady. Plus, I may be able to actually sit down for a while in my camping chair and watch Griffin as he plays in that grassy area. I was also looking at sites 41, which is the one that Dee had, or 20 which Chez Way had. I think they were also shady, but I ended up choosing 44 so that Griffin wouldn't be running into other people's campsites. Yeah, like that'll stop him...

C'mon Jacqui--it's only one weekend away from soccer and it's early in the season to boot. Think how much fun the boys will have at the waterpark, especially now that they have the floating stream completed....you don't want to deprive your children of that, do you? They could be scarred for life!!! :yikes:

(is the guilt trip working? :))

I will work on Randy.  Guilt is a magical thing.  Randy's mom is a pro at this so he falls for it every time.:)

Jacqui- I'll help too if you need it.  after a little thought, I'm going to reserve B53 & hopefully my friend will take 52. I remember the busy road that seperated the 2 loops and I know everyone will be in the other loop 43-53 .

We are interested in joining in on this "non rally" also. Can anybody recommend a site for us? We've got a littel one so not on a busy traffic area.

my suggestion is any site between B45-B51 That brings you off the corner from the road a bit

Jendak---I concur with Dee's recommendation.  48 - 51 are all pretty large sites.  There is also a nice grassy area behind sites 54-58 which was also nice for kids running around.

We just checked our calendar.  "Lake Casitas" is now written in.

We'll call Casitas today and see what space we can get.

The only downside to sites 48-51 is that there is no shade and unless you have a/c or at least the popupgizmos covers to take the edge off a bit, your PU will be an OVEN!! Also, sites 43, 45, 46, and 47 had a bit of a drop off behind them, so that could prove to be dangerous to little ones.

IIRC, the sites along the other road (41, 20, 17, 14, 11, 8, 6, and 3) were shaded (and mostly pull-thrus to boot!) That road is not as busy since it leads to a cul-de-sac of sites, plus the campers face the big grassy area, which wouldbe a great place for the kids to play. The road between 44 and 41 leads to the marina, and unfortunately, cars come whipping very fast down that road.

OK, I will call and get a site.  We talked him into it.  I will probably call and try to get site 41.

Lori I was going to get 41 -the one I had last time, but I figured everone was going to book 43-53 like last time and that was too far for most to wonder over for a group campfire.  If you're recommeding 41,20 etc, I'll call and book 41  I'm going to call tomorrow afternoon so let me know what you suggest
