I am embarrassed to say that we didn't renew earlier, but be assured that within five minutes of renewing our notice we were renewed.  The rallies have become an intricate part of our camping experience.  I hate to contemplate how little we may have used our PU if it hadn't been for the preplanning the NNC and SCC trips has allowed.

Time for me to go, too.  I would like to say thank you for the many friends I've made through this forum.  It's been fun for nearly 3 years (during most of which I was still tenting).  For many reasons I decided to move on.  I, too, will be hanging out in other places or look for me on aim (tnclone).  Some day I hope to share a real campfire with all of you.  Happy camping!!

Hay Jan!  I sure am going to miss you!  Boy things sure have changed in the past year or so!  And now you have a pu!  Hopefully, since I'm closer to you now, we actually may get to camp together!  Be good and have fun!  Keep in touch!

Me, too.  I keep fairly busy checking in at HYX and Open Roads and just can't see paying out $$ to check here when I don't do it that often.  So...so long and happy camping to friends far and near and all the ships at sea!  It's been great.

at the same time I hope that those who can, will consider purchasing an additional membership for some of our dear friends for whom the cost of a membership could result in their having to leave.  (I am just another member, not speaking for management.) This board will always be viable because of your friendship and generosity.  There is always a new group of PU ers with their first purchase or old friends who may come back.  Happy Camping!

We too will be leaving. Since we have gone to a 5th wheel PUT doesn't fill the need it once did. We have learned a lot from this group, and hope we have helped smooth the way for others. Anyway, thanks for being our friends!

I still wish I could remember/find out who posted the list of "things you should have in your PU" that included a 1-ton scissors jack on the list. (This was right after I discovered PUT--late 2002, I think.) I owe him/her a huge thank you! I bought a jack on blind faith and kept it in the PU because it was on the list.

I agree totally and i must have seen the same list! There are a couple more things the list told me to purchase:
1) 15 amp 50' extension cord
2) 25' EXTRA drinking water hose

I had not used either one of these items for two years. A few weeks ago i used them both! Membership dues are more than worth the advice you get here. $19.95 and even $29.95 equals going out to eat once or twice. Where else can one get customized/quick advice for that price?

I renewed sometime back. I definitely get 20 bucks worth of enjoyment in a year by reading the boards and magazine. I can spend more than that going to a two hour movie with my family. I spend the $ for PUT as my treat to me! I deserve it! :sombraro:

I paid my $19.95, and think it is worth every cent.  I also belong to several other 'Free' sites, but will continue to be a paying member of PUT.

I'm gunna spend at least TEN TIMES the cost of the PUT membership this year just driving to PUT rallies to see PUT friends, and some folks don't get enough out of their PUT membership?
