Despite the miles that may separate us, you are obviously one of us in spirit (is that a good thing or a bad thing? :yikes: ) We shall miss you at Pismo and will raise a glass (or two or three or....) to your honor! :!

I, for one, Resent Pop Up Times!

• I resent that I spend too much time here learning and, occasionally, even sharing what little I know at times.
  
• I resent that people I don't know, have never met and may not ever, have caused me to consider camping issues that I didn't even know existed.
  
• I resent the fact that I have been denied the chance to make a total fool of myself because I've learned from others SPUT's (okay, I can still find a way....).
  
• I resent the fact that this place has cost me money, buying things for camping and the camper that I had no clue I *Needed*.
  
• I resent that free time has been occupied by the friendships and bonds that have been made here that otherwise would never have happened.
  

Ah, hmmmmm. Guess I'm staying!

I renewed my membership solely due to the amount of friends that I have met through this forum.  Me and my family were welcomed at the last Eastern Rally with open arms and make some wonderful friends there:!.  We again are attending this years Eastern Rally with close friends and hopefully making more relationships:!.  I feel the posts are dropping off compared to other popup type websites and I hope that the membership will increase or stay ebb.  

I will continue to pay a membership every year unless I see that the value is not present with paying this fee.  One item that I would like to see addressed is some of the prices in the PUT store.  I understand that we members get 10% & shipping is included, then why is it cheaper for me to purchase multiple items at Camping World than my own club's store?.  Possibly a decrease in shipping costs for multiple items could be addressed during checkout or something.

Oh well didn't mean to steal the thread.  It's been a great website for me & my family, we hope for more insight over the years.

If any of your kids is like my one little monkey boy, I was thinking more like, three during the kids' afternoon naps; three while making dinner, three as the kids have their last hurrah before bedtime and then at least three after the kids are all in bed and sleeping sweetly!

I also received my expiration notice, and immediately went and got my visa card to renew my membership.
 
Even if I never learned another helpful hint from these boards (which I believe is unlikely) I renewed my membership because I come here to hang with all my friends and to plan our next trips together. Sure, I could do that without even having to be a paid member, since guests are able to access and post to the rally and club forums. But I feel strongly that it's only right of me to help pay my share for the bandwidth I take up. Besides, its only $20 bucks.
 
Now don't get me wrong; I'm not passing judgment or criticizing anyone who feels differently. I recognize that everyone's circumstances (financial or otherwise) and opinions are different and you're not only entitled to them, but they are right for you. I'm just expressing my own thoughts on why I chose to continue my membership. For those of you who will be moving on, thanks for spending some of the journey here with us, and I hope that we'll meet again either in cyberspace or across a real-time campfire sometime!

Apparently I misjudged you a bit, Lori!  Let's go with your plan!!  LOL  and yea ~ I've got one or two that could keep up with your monkey boy!  in fact I call those two the Little Monkeys!
