Finally is always setup in front of our house to air it up besides it is our coffee shop !

It withstood rain pretty well until last night. As you know the corners of the canvas is torn and canvas is not really tight on it. Well we had a BIG storm last night and the worst happened :(

The bunkends were full of water :( The beds (They are still in) and the cushions which were on the beds were full of water :(:(:( Thr roof did not leak though :) All the water entered from the torn corner areas and filled up the bunks with water. I emptied the bunks immediately and they all dried up under the dtrong sun I hope no permanent damage is down ! Cushions and foams are also already dry. Tomorrow I will patch up the canvas corners and tighten the canvas so this doesn't happen everytime it rains ! How dumb of me to let Finally suffer like this !!!

Keep smiling it could have been worse....

It is better to find out now, rather then when you are camping.   I went to a local SP last friday and saw an older PU with the lightweight blue plastic tarps attached to the roof and coming out over the bunk ends.  If you keep having leaking problems something like that may help. :)

I think we've all been there -- done that!  I know we once popped the pop-up open, but didn't put the sheppard's poles up because we didn't plan on leaving it open long.  Well, along came a FAST moving storm with STRONG winds.  We were drying the beds after that SPUT too!

I, personally, learn WAY more from my mistakes than from my successes!

When I found my second trailer...same unit you have (Starmaster-8) at the local Coleman dealers lot, they had one corner held up with a 2x4 due to a broken cable, and neither of the bunk end canvas support poles were up (these don't have a shepherds pole), and both bunks were ponding water, and from the green alge growing in it, had been like that for quite some time.

It took a couple of weeks to dry everything out and scrub the canvas down, and get the cushion covers cleaned. Took even longer to get the foam mattress so that they didn't smell anymore (had to soak them in Febreez for a while). But it did clean up, and I got three years use out of that trailer, and the current owners are still using it too!

Those old Starcrafts are nearly bullet proof Birol, I don't think a little rain will shorten it's lifespan any!!!! :D

Just remember that the PU's are made for the great outdoors! They are tougher than you think.
Sounds like "Finally" is no wimp, after all, she has lived a long life already. You did the right things. The ol' girl will survive :D

Well Birol...didn't ya say the cushions needed cleaning???  LOL  Sounds like you gave them a fresh water bath!

Hahahhaha, yup they sure got washed :):):) After breakfast shortly from now I am going to start repairing the canvas in all the torn areas. I want it to stay up, air out and not leak from the torn areas. We are going to buy the fabric for the cushions tomorrow, we chose it already this weekend.
