ALL,

On the camper tire the statement reads MAX 65 PSI.  Should you always fill to the max?

That's what I'd do. If your not 100% comfortable with the maximum tire pressure, go about 2 PSI less than Max. That should be alright.

Always be sure the tires are cold when checking pressure.

According to all the trailer tire manufacturers, on small trailer tires like we use the only correct inflation pressure is the maximum pressure listed on the tire sidewall.

Increases due to driving are figured in and do not have to be commensated for when check COLD tire pressures and pressure should always be checked cold and adjusted to the correct pressure before driving.

Seeing as how most trailer tires are speced out at values at or only a few pounds higher than the gross axle loading even a slight reduction in pressure can cause the tire to lose capacity and have it be overloaded.
The second most common cause of tire failure, after dryrot, is under inflation.

I'll third the opinion, always run it at max pressure.

Thanks all, will run them at MAX. Leaving on Thursday for 2 weeks. Hey Mike I will be in your neck of the woods. Will be rolling in to the eastern ralley on the 9th.
