Today started with taking my middle Daughter to the doctor.  The Dr. asked me if anyone had mentioned Fetal Alcohol Syndrome to me.  No.  Well, she has some of the characteristics for it.  Then the bipolar came up again.  Remember she is adopted and you never really know what happens during the pregnancy, just what they want you to know. Bad, very bad start.

Then went to DSS to signed up for child care assistance while I'm still in college.  We qualify and after my last unemployment check I can sign up.  How much do I have to pay? I ask.  $395 a month.  So out of $700, I have to pay $395 then they pay the rest.  Yeah right.  Me with no job, no unemployment, can't make ends meet now.  If I go to work full time, I lose my college funding.  If I don't complete my two years, have to pay back what has already been paid.  Stuck either way I go.

Also talked with banker about refinancing that was to be completed next week.  He said, I didn't know you had a doublewide.  Well, yes it is right there on our paperwork.  We won't get the appraisal that we need, I will have to start over.  Will call you Monday.  In my own words, Sorry but it won't work.  So there goes our chance for getting things caught up and straightened up.

Sorry to bend your ears like this and grumble about my problems.  I just needed to let out some frustration and anger.

Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear about your bad day... I know how you feel about the $$ issue... We just had to list our pop up for sale!!Kids are sad but you do what you have to ....:(

It sounds like you got hit on all sides.  I am sorry things are so rough right now.   Don't you hate when people miss something major that will affect a loan or something, and it is clearly listed on the paper??

Hope things pick up for you soon!!

Sorry to hear of your problems, I'm sure somehow things will work out.

You and your family are in my heart.  I know how hard you have worked to continue your education and help provide a loving secure home for your  children and all of this must seem like the last straw.  Some years ago, a dear friend was going through a horrible time personally and financially and she turned to me one day when we were adding up her trials and tribulations  and said, "well, my Mom always said, 'when you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.'"  She did have to hang on for quite awhile but in the end things finally worked out OK and I am sure you will also somehow make it through this hard time.  In the meantime, you have picked the right place to come for encouragement and understanding.

FAS is a heartbreaking condition although  at least today there is an awareness of it and its causes and its many complications--I certainly hope the redtape you are snarled in will get straightened out so your daughter will get properly assessed and begin to get treatment. .  Please let us know how things are coming along, even if the news is not yet very encouraging.

Thanks to everyone.  I didn't really want to post because I didn't want to bring anyone down.  I was just so blue I needed to vent.  I really appreciate your kindness.

Things are still the same, but that is okay.  I have vented and feel somewhat better.

The lender is still working for us, if this came through it would be the miracle we need to start over again and get us straightened out financially.

Also talked with our adoption attorney, and they needed a little more information.  They said it won't be long now.  But I've heard that before.  Still it is a positive step in the right direction.

I know I am new here, but I would hate for you to feel like you can't post when things are rough.  We all have those times, and it really helps to be able to talk about them (or just type them out and read responses).  Please don't feel like you shouldn't post if things are bed.  If you are blue and need to vent, do it!

Please keep us updated on what is going on so we can support you.  I will keep my fingers crossed that the loan works in your favor, as well as everything else.

BTW, what are you studying?

The refinance did not go through, but that is okay.  I am going today to apply for part time jobs to work weekends.  Unemployment ran out last week.  During the week I really need my time to study, and since we never know when DH is going to out of town with his job during the week it would be impossible to work during the week.

Casey is doing fine, this was the first time in her five years of life anyone ever mentioned FAS.  So I am going to get a second opinion on that.  Looks like someone would have mentioned it before now.

In college I am studying Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant, next school year I will be employable as a Teacher's Assistant in the public school system.  I decided this was a field that I wanted to go into after substitute teaching for two years.  Plus I would be able to spend time with my girls when they are out.

Well it is time to get everyone to day care and me to college.  Everyone have a great day.
