Does anyone have a folding bike? Which are good, and inexpensive? Our problem is trying to get 4 bikes on the rear rack of the van plus a trailer bike(hopefully soon to be 5 bikes). I don't want a camper mounted one because we sometimes go off the campsite to ride, and we still have to cart these with the van. Any suggestions (Other than the $900 Dahons). I saw one at campingworld for about $200. Or should I just invest in a Yakima system for the van?

I have seen a few on eBay. I think the brand name is Pony. These are good bikes and are usually fairly inexpensive.

Also, we have a towable bike rack which holds 4 bikes. The bike rack slides into the receiver on the vehicle and then the regular hitch slides into the bike rack. I may not have all the wording correct, but i think you will understand.

Camping World has the single speed Dahon on sale for $134 and the 6 speed Boardwalk model for $179. The prices are good until 7/25.

Nah... he has a little sister (Ivana) at home. She isn't a camping cat though.

We just bought one of the single speed Dahons from Camping World and it works great. Used it for 2 weeks around campgrounds both on and off roads. A real nice purchase.

We purchased two of the six speed Dahon folding bikes from Camping World two weeks ago.  We used them for a week while camping at Carpinteria State Beach, and they were great!  They are small when folded, and lightweight enough so they were easy to move around in the bed of our truck.  The seat is comfortable, shifting the gears was easy, had no problems with the brakes or anything else.  We happened to catch a great sale at Camping World the day we went... $179.99 at the Member's price!  Saw recently they went back to their normal sale price around $224.00, regular price around $260.00, so we were very lucky to walk into the store when we did.
