Well, some of you have noticed that we have our Santa Fe listed for sale.  We pick up our new pop up this Saturday.

All along we were negotiating for a Hemlock.  We have been busy for a few weeks with the new house and lo and behold according to my dealer FFT has renamed the Hemlock as the 2005 Niagra.

For the 2005 model year, the Niagra is being dropped from the Grand Tour series and the 2005 Hemlock is being renamed Niagra.

My dealer is already receiving the 2005 "Niagras" on the lot, so that is what ours is.

The floorplan will remain the same, only some colors have changed.  It almost dosn't seem like a pop up:

Box Size (Inside Length) 14'

LCMS pastor

Let me know how you like it - we are looking at the sequoia - with the powered roof lift

Excellent! I love that model!

Do you think your little ol' F250 Diesel can yank it? Might want to put some high octane diesel in it. :D

Rear Mount Bike Rack Receiver

Yes Larry, I think I can pull it. :D   As a mater of fact while talking with the dealer one of the first questions they asked was "what are you going to pull this with?".  When I responded F-250 Turbo Diesel, I got an Oh- you sure can pull it with that response.

Too bad, the DW is going out of town tomorrow for three weeks so I will have to break it in without her :yikes:

Congratulations!!!

I looked at one before I went to the eastern rally.  I really like the way the shower curtain attaches to the ceiling.  If you don't mind towing it to Maine you are welcome to join us there.  We will be camping with Genef and Chasd60. :)

I pointed out a "Hemlock" to my DH while we were on vacation, and his response was "Why the heck would they name a trailer after a poison?"  Maybe that prompted the name change.  I mean, Sequoia conjures up big trees and nature, but Hemlock doesn't do the same thing for me!

I think they were trying to stick with the "tree" theme for all of the Highlanders (Redwood, Sequoia & Hemlock) but the Hemlock name just didn't go over well with customers.  According to our dealer, in 2003 the Niagra was the best selling pop up in the FFT line, but as soon as the Highlanders came out the Niagra sales took a nose dive.  I guess if you were spending the money for a Niagra for a few dollars more you could get into a Highlander.

Sorry, but Maine is probably out of the question for this year.  Tell Charlie & Gene hi for me!

Congratulations on the new PU ! We look forward to seeing it at next years rally.

Hey Tim,

Good luck with the new camper! BTW - It's called a NIAGARA.  ;)

Have you heard of Dillard, GA ? There's a CG (River Vista, Mountain Village) that have RV lots for sale. Just curious how the area is...

Well, about three hours to the new pop up, too bad the DW is out of town; I may have to test it without her.

The Santa Fe is closed up in the driveway for the trip to the dealer for the trade....

I wish we could get one of the highlanders.  I think popping down will go much quicker with one. :)

Well, it's sitting in the driveway (pictures to follow).

Seems to take about the same amount of time, but now I have a slide out to worry about.  This adds the time saved in the pop up.

How do you like the shower curtain and the way it is attached to the ceiling?  Do you have to remove the curtain when you pop down?
