Are You And Where!

    Are any of you going camping this weekend and if so where? Myself, hopefully going to Red Run CG PA. Sure hope it is a nice weekend for us all. With Alex not to far off the coast who knows. Need rest and quiet for this weekend. I am also tired of rain. I thought last year was bad.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to camp this weekend, however, the weather here is suppose to be fantastic.... highs in the 70's with no rain.

We are hopefully going next weekend, just waiting to hear from PopUpSgt.

Will be at Tall Pines near Lewes DE, taking off Friday.

Raymond and Jeffrey are going on the head boats (party fishing boats that are scheduled) into the Delaware Bay. Me, I think I will drive down/over US9 just a little farther and take the walk on trip the Cape May Lewes Ferry has and get the public transportation into Cape May and walk around. Hopefully we will have 2 vehicles down there so it will be easier to do the seperate activities.

We do not usually go that close to the touristy areas, but the fishing boats were too big of a draw for the guys.

I am getting brave and got a back in site.

We thought about Cape Henlopen SP (a hop skip and a jump from the ferry and the warf), but they have water only sites. Not me, not in the summer...

We're headed to our home away from home, Long Key State Park. This time I booked an extra day so we wouldn't have to rush around on Sunday and be out by 1 o'clock. It's about an hour and a half out of my driveway to the gate of the park. We can leave after dinner and still be home at a decent hour. Like always I feel like a little kid with anticipation.

I'm almost afraid to say it out loud or even think about it too long. I'm with you on being sick of the rain, but after hearing the forcast for the high 70s here we're thinking about maybe heading to the mountains! Hopefully even cooler there!  Funny..we got the PU so we would camp more in the summer and only once this year, so far, have we done anything other than dry camping!  LOL

 
Lets keep our fingers crossed the weather guys are right this time!!!

We will be in Yosemite for a week and a half long vacation and to host the rally.

Not this weekend, have some work to do on the PU.  New tires, cleaning and repacking.  But we are heading up to Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground the following weekend.  Our first far away trip that isn't local.  Finally going to get the nerve to get the PU on the freeway.  UGH!!!

I'll take the freeway with a popup to the "back roads". Infact, I'd rather travel anywhere with the popup behind me. The 21' popout I usually take lets you know it is behind you, especially when being passed, the popup just sorta stays nicely in place, even when being passed. I do do a good job of packing (weight in the front and all)... Stopping with the popup is a lot easier than stopping with the big one, and freeways do not have traffic lights, so that is generally one worry out of the way.

Glad you are getting out, I remember when you got this and how excited you were.

We are trying to figure out where to go this weekend.  Maybe Fort Fisher, or Jordan Lake.  Not sure yet.
