What a bone head move.  We were on our way home from Ocean City, Md camping at Fontiertown. We stopped for lunch and I noticed the lid on my propane cover was gone. :yikes:  I've looked everywhere to find a replacement.  Any ideas?  I have a 2000 Coleman Utah CP with dual tanks.

JWantz,

Welcome to THE BOARD!

You might try Camping World or worst case just call your dealer & get another from him.

I lost our gas access cover last summer, the same way, forgot to fasten it down.... Dealer wasn't much help in getting a replacement,so, I decided to make my own..  Stopped at a salvage yard and picked up a small piece of aluminum sheet for two bucks....Drew out a new cover on the sheet and then cut it out with a saber saw with a hack saw blade... Smoothed the edges with a file and sand paper... Drilled the holes for the hold down screws and gave it a couple of coats of white paint with a spray can....Picked up a couple of 1/4-20 X 1'' thumb screws at Lowes to hold it down.. I didn't bother with a new gasket as the new cover fits tight on the tank cover and should not leak much.......Total cost, three bucks and about an hours work.....I still have enough aluminum sheet left to make several more in case I forget again.........
