I park mine in my driveway and had the same problem before pismo and had some visitors during pismo luckily not black widows! what I do everytime I come back from a trip(I didn't do before pismo :banghead: ) Is I buy RAID MAX (not regular raid)and spray the edge of the under carriage , around the tires and stabilizers etc. and it helps keep the creepy crawlies out.

I don't have any vacation time left, so while I worked yesterday, Dave drove the camper to the cg (about 30 minutes from our home), set it up according to my detailed, and I might add, excellent instructions and had it perfectly cozy and homey by the time I got off work, picked up my mom and Griffin from preschool and drove to the cg. This morning I got up early, stopped at home for a quick shower and then drove into work. Griffy's spending the day with Nana and Daddy, and I'll be back at the cg this evening just in time to have a nice glass of wine and start dinner. :)

vacation, shmacation. I'm going camping!! :sombraro:
Hmm.  This may turn out to be the way everyone of your camping trips should work?  Just think, no fights, no silent treatments, no nasty hand signals and that is just the first 15 minutes of your campground entry;).  Plus, you don't have to lift a finger except to raise your margarita glass.
Way to go!!:D

It was pretty nice, now that you mention it...;)

spiders are bad enough but black widow spiders...I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.  As it is I always sleep with socks on because I'm so worried something is going to bite my toes or feet at night!!!

Rose, you might want to think twice, then, before you move to Florida.  It has the same creepiy-crawlers they have in Cal and  some added ones who thrive in the tropics. :J  Actually, all you need is a good exterminator  and a can of Raid for the undersides of the pu.  (Cindy can help you a lot now that she has been there long enough to be practically a "native.)

We've got a lot of those same critters here in NE GA, too (especially the black widows and also brown recluses and scorpions) (as well as  rattlers & copperheads) but we learn to deal with it, mostly by not putting "body parts" in any  places where we cannot see who is already occupying that space. ;) )
